I usually pick up semi-random books that cover topics I've been
interested in for a while. The recent ones which I enjoyed are
1984, Into the Wild, a bunch of different books on Buddhism and
meditation, Freud's lectures, a lot of Jack London (although I got
kind of bored of him by now).
Movies: I like older movies, especially the ones with funny special
effects. The Lost Boys, Total Recall, The Princess Bride, Conan,
etc. For some reason newer movies have a fake feel to it, as if
they were artificially designed and stuffed with "fancy" special
effects without any hint of creativity.
Also recently watched and liked a lot "127 Hours".
Shows: The Guild.
Music: Grunge, Rock, Metal, Heavy Metal, Classical, Folk (Celtic),
J-Pop (I used to watch anime a lot lol).
Food: preferably something I've never tried, or even better - heard
about, before.
Games: relatively old school things such as first Starcraft,
different RPGs (Fallout 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate, Morrowind, etc).
Huge fan of Silent Hill series and Portal.
