I'm a native New Yorker who grew up out West, so I have a thing for eucalyptus and the earth under my feet. I'm sincere, not terribly serious. I don't tell jokes but I usually make people laugh. I'm a teacher, teaching a subject I love, and leaning to the left, though not in a myopic or predetermined way. I have a few ridiculously-priced pairs of shoes, not hundreds, and I can sing.

I traveled the world as a kid, studied in India and London for extended periods of my life, and tool around Brooklyn extensively on my cranky Raleigh. I'm a lover of live music and art, which makes me a happy city dweller when not upstate looking at the stars.

What am I looking for? A real relationship with a real and imperfect human being like me -- someone to share the joys and absurdities of life with. Not an insta-relationship or a series of dates with shiny okcupid profiles. Something that develops, hopefully to a time when we look back on this and have a good laugh..
