I lived in a city bigger than Buffalo for a while where okcupid made more sense. Now I'm mostly here for the lols.
Queer, not bi.
This includes: learning, changing, deepening my yoga practice, loving my friends, kind of writing a play, riding my bike around town, and making bone broth.
I have a bunny friend named Dandelion who shares my room with me. A lot of my energy is focused on taking care of him the best I can and getting to know him better.
I read tarot. Mostly for myself, sometimes for friends, and occasionally for strangers who pay me.
Lately I've been reading a lot of psychoanalysis, eastern philosophy, and mystic/gnostic/occult stuff. I read Answer To Job by Carl Jung a few months ago and thought it was great. I don't think anyone can write a sentence like Lorrie Moore and I also like Richard Brautigan. I spend a lot of time trying to understand Lacan and intending to read Hegel. I'm always delving into mythology. Ultimately, I read more self help than I like to admit.
My favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey and I've watched Being There about six times in the past year. I saw Wild at Heart recently and liked it a lot.
I spent a lot of years pretty into punk, and I still feel connected to it, but I don't actively listen to much punk anymore. I've been listening to a lot of Alice Coltrane and Sun Ra lately. I've also been into exploring 60s psychedelic pop for a little while. I love Kate Bush and Hounds of Love is my favorite album. Khia is always a go-to favorite. Jawbreaker has been my official Favorite Band for so long that it feels wrong to renounce them. I have a Get Up Kids stick-and-poke and have listened to Something To Write Home About roughly 34,000 times since I was sixteen.
I like to eat salmon, kale, yogurt, and granola. Breakfast is my favorite. Coffee and tea all the time.
2. A notebook and a pen.
3. Meaningful relationship.
4. Somewhere to be alone.
5. I'm pretty attached to these little birds that hang out outside my window. But I also like trees and the sky and large bodies of moving water. One of these, at least.
6. Water, food, and warmth. Duh.
Heads up: I'm not into monogamy or misogyny.
