Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello all! My name is Evan and I am currently a student studying
mathematics, computer science, and cognitive science. I'm hoping to
meet people on here who are intellectual, engaging, and
I love contrarians and people who hold dissenting opinions. I will
gladly forgo sleep for a good conversation. I fall in love with
Scarlett Johansson every time I watch Lost in Translation. And,
yes! That is important information.
I listen to and read Dan Savage religiously. So I'm GGG and you
should know what that means.
I want to live forever. I believe strongly in human ingenuity,
especially in the areas of science and technology. I have a close
group of friends with whom I enjoy throwing a few drinks back and
not taking ourselves too seriously.
And for a little Hofstadterian fun: This sentence claims to be an
Epimenides paradox, but it is lying.

Late-night conversations with awesome friends
Intellectual stimulation of any and all kinds
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Philosophy… Oh, you wanted something more specific? Alright then;
Ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, aesthetics, and politics. Still
too vague and almost tautological? Goddamn, you're tough when it
comes to clarifying exactly what I mean. We're going to get along
great! Lets try this: Ethics as it relates to artificial general
intelligence, artificial general intelligence in general (see what
I did there?). All areas and subfields of mathematics, science, and
technology. Really any of the stereotypical "Big Questions".
The comedic genius of South Park and It's Always Sunny in
Philadelphia. The brilliance of the existentialist philosophers and
the clever use of their ideas in film and literature.
Space and dinosaurs; if you're looking for two topics that will
consistently blow your mind, it's the vastness of space and the
awesomeness of dinosaurs. Try it!
On a typical Friday night I am
