I am inane, intractable, and illustrative.

My Self-Summary

Right, obviously I'm here because I'd like to meet a woman with which I'm compatible. Spelling AND grammar, yay! Back to what I was saying:
I always thought it'd be fun to be a grumpy old man and yell "GET OFFA MY LAWN!". Then I met one. What a downer.
I'm sober, by which I mean I no longer drink or take illicit drugs. However, it is not my job to tell others how to live their lives.
I like really stupid jokes, though I can never remember them to tell them. It would make me very happy if you told me some.
I read online comics, comics and fiction. Yes it's true, I read junk. I'm not interested in reading books or watching movies that are "important". I AM sadder but wiser and would prefer that my entertainment actually BE entertaining. So yes I like zombie books & movies, and no, I'm mostly over vampires, both in modern entertainment and the kind that drains your energy in real life.
Let's talk politics for a moment. I'm a liberal. What I mean by that is when I hear that some conservative pundit calls Barack a socialist, my reaction is IF ONLY. I am not afraid of socialism and think this country could use some. I think conservative politics come in 2 flavors; one flavor is the kind where mommy made them share their toys too early. These would be fiscal conservatives & libertarians. The other flavor are the religious douchebags who feel we all must follow their chosen polemic. By force of arms if necessary. While I disagree with the first kind you can at least have a conversation with them. I have nothing nice to say about the second kind.
MUSIC. I love music. Back in the mists of time (late 70's early 80's) I was a punk rocker. I still love punk rock though now it's not the only music I listen to. Now my tastes run to Kraut Rock, Mod, Experimental Electronica, certain not so popular Pop (yes, I know), Stoner Metal (I just can't help it), Remixes of various kinds, some Bollywood, Rockabilly, Psychedelic, and Classical Music. All of those sub genre's have sub genre's of there own, but let's not get crazy.
I have a degree in fine art photography, so yes, I'm one of those hopeless assholes who got a degree that has absolutely no use in the real world. A fine art photographer, in case you didn't know is a really lousy photographer who isn't embarrassed by the really bad pictures they take. So would you like to come over and see my prints?
I think I've covered the basics. If you're interested get in touch.

What I’m doing with my life

I work a 9-5 job as an IT guy at Auraria Library. Along with that I go to some movies, read some books hang out with some friends and work out.
I hate working out. However, I'm told it will magically transform me from a fat, ugly, old man into an ugly old man. Huzzah!
I ride one of my 2 bikes (and I can assure you, you will be embarrassed to be with me when I'm on the Rat Fink) to work nearly every day. Let's not go crazy though, during storms of various kinds, I will take the bus or drive.
I've discovered that I love kayaking. No not whitewater adventure kayaking. Sorry, I'm not Danger Davy. I like paddling around the local lake and enjoying the quiet beauty of nature while getting some exercise.

I’m really good at

Good question, I'll tell you when I find out.

The first things people usually notice about me

There are SO many things to notice, it's hard to say.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like geeky science fiction and fantasy books, movies and tv. I like punk rock, electronica, classical, and some alt country (no not that Jeff Tweedy or Ryan Adams crap).

The six things I could never do without

My cats, art, good food, friends, and two other things because it says 6.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How badly the world sucks, and yet how amazingly cool it can be.

On a typical Friday night I am

Not answering the phone or the door. Often because I'm out with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm not willing to admit anything private here.

You should message me if

You have a good sense of humor, or are just bored.
