I am introspective, sensual, and open-minded.

My Self-Summary

The only statement that seems to come close to summing me up is: if there are at least two ways about something, I like it at least both ways. On a related note, I was amused and delighted to see that the Wikipedia entry for pansexuality references Captain Jack Harkness. I hate labels, but I love words with the prefix pan-.

I'm rather preoccupied at the moment for a few reasons, so I might not respond to messages in a timely fashion.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a professional geek wannabe. This means that I majored in Classics and Religion, but I'm now doing tech support, both because it pays the bills and because I actually enjoy it.

I’m really good at

appreciating people for who they are.

The first things people usually notice about me

That probably depends on whether I'm wearing something low-cut. If I am, my breasts. If not, my tattoos or my hair. Or possibly still my breasts.

People also comment on my laugh and my smile. I've been told I do both of these a lot.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

These are examples of some of my favourites in each category that come to mind at the moment. The full list would be quite extensive.

(a)Books:

Radical Ecstasy - Dossie Easton and Janet W. Hardy

Winterlong - Elizabeth Hand

The Diamond Age - Neal Stephenson

Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman

Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte

Tipping the Velvet - Sarah Waters

Palimpsest - Catherynne M. Valente

(b)Movies:

The Brothers Bloom, Sister, My Sister, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Crying Game, The Fifth Element

(c)Music:

Android Lust, Collide, Lycia, Nick Cave, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Peter Murphy, Rasputina, Faith and the Muse, Natacha Atlas, Client, Goldfrapp

(d)Foods:

I am mostly pescetarian. I think it's appropriate that it sounds rather like it should be a religion since I'm from Maryland and to ever renounce seafood would be unthinkable.

I particularly like:

Sushi!, Indian, Thai, Lao

I adore fresh fruits and veggies from the Farmer's Market.

I am overly fond of cereal.

The six things I could never do without

Besides the things without which I would literally die like food, shelter and sex (ok, so theoretically I probably wouldn't die without sex, but I prefer not to test that theory), the modern conveniences without which I would complain most are: 1. a supportive black bra 2. a computer, or at least my BlackBerry 3. books (and now that I have a Kindle, a lifetime supply of books is technically one item) 4. music 5. eyeliner 6. my Sigg water bottles

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I spend a lot of time thinking about more things than I could list here. Or possibly over-thinking.

On a typical Friday night I am

I don't really have a typical Friday night plan. Sometimes I'm spending time with friends, sometimes I am home alone reading. Sometimes I even go out if there is something interesting going on. In the past I have sometimes used Friday nights to do print server maintenance from home. Lately, however, I have mostly been spending Friday nights with one particular gentleman I met on this site.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't really consider much private. TMI is my favourite kind of information and I've been told that I'm honest to a fault.

You should message me if

you have an open mind and interesting ideas.

I'm in the process of re-writing this while I try to figure out what it is I'm looking for. I am open to suggestions as to what that should be. *laugh* I generally enjoy exploring new people and places and things.
