So, never really thought my height was my most defining characteristic, but then I guess it is what most people see first. Personally I like to think its my relaxed attitude to life, my sense of humour, my thoughtfulness, even perhaps that small amount of intelligence I cling to. All hard to see from the outside or even in a profile online. All in all, I think well balanced, neither glass half empty nor glass half full so much as lets get another glass.

As to who/what I'd like to find... I really am open to most things. Would love to find a soul mate but am starting to think its not going to happen. Or would love to find someone to just hang out with for company. Am happy to find anything in the spectrum in between...

Other 'nice to haves' would be a bit of height, an open mind, possibly a libido that matches mine, someone who can hold up their end of the conversation and the usual sense of humour/fun and sense of adventure.

What I'm definitely over is the one nighters (not over intimacy, just the "one night and its over" variety), the pretty people who are so self absorbed you never get into their life or the ones who really need a pet not a partner.

So if you're well balanced, feel like a chat to see if there's any chemistry and feel you can tick at least some of the boxes, you know what to do...

Life has a habit of whizzing on even without any input from us. For now I've been working in I.T. but am approaching that point where I'm going to pull back from the coalface. Am seriously considering going back to uni and trying a doctorate of some sort. Only time will tell...

I like to think I'm pretty good at most of things I put my mind to. The trick is merely to make me care about it and I'll engage and generally deliver an outstanding result. Its that whole protestant work ethic thing of if its worth doing, its worth doing properly and taking pride in the result. Which necessarily means doing the sort of job we could take pride in to begin with.

Errr... I'm just under 6'5" in my socks. Odds are you did a double take when I came in to see if I fit under the door. But I'm willing to overlook your superficiality! ;-)

Books... hmm mostly reading SF and then the more or less notable authors of the day. Neal Stephenson, David Weber, John Varney. But I do love Terry Pratchett's work. Film and shows. Broad tastes and love anything that brings 'new' ideas to the table. Music... happily trapped in the music of my youth. Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, U2, INXS, Creedence, Fleetwood Mac, and so on. But also like some newer music: Five for Fighting, Bare Naked Ladies, Offspring, Nickelback. Generally I'm looking for music by people who have clearly mastered their instruments/have musical talent. So more Clapton to Katy Perry and less rappers, boy bands or people whose talent is displaying a tattoo. Food... so many choices. Indian, Italian, Thai, French, Chinese, Malay. But hey, like a sausage roll and you just can't beat good fish and chips.

Hmmm... my bed, good company, my health, a nice chenin blanc, something to read and time to enjoy them all.

Work, work, work. That's all young people think about these days. Frankly I'm here looking for a good reason to think about something else... like it to be you?

Face down in a pool of vomit... oh wait. That's not me at all. Have been living the quiet home life for a while. Do get out when the right company is available. Do something fun. Or indeed with the right company stay home and have fun.
