Call me, Brian. Some years ago-never mind precisely how long- I came upon this website and decided to give it a whirl. I met some people who turned out to be pretty awesome and I thought why not try it again.

Well, enough of that and on to a quick synopsis of me. I am generally a misanthropic, existential nihilist (or maybe a nihilistic existentialist, who knows?). I have a penchant for listening to records in the dark and just thinking of whatever topic strikes my fancy. I love live music and reading above most other things. And I tend to have a higher opinion of animals than most of my human compatriots.

Graduate of SUNY Binghamton (I majored in Psych, Comp Lit, and English...specializing in Greek mythology).

Currently I am working ad going to law school at St. John's. Hopefully I will receive my J.D. and become a lawyer (the actual type of law is subject to change at the moment).

Brooding
Going from really sociable to recluse all within the time span of a few weeks.
Reading large amounts in short times
Writing when my Muse speaks to me.

In order of when they happen:
A guy in black skinny jeans, black shirt, and black boots..how fucking original.
My eyes...I have been told they are my best feature.
Although right now my hair being ridiculously long probably could be a talking piece.
Oh, and the beard I currently have growing due to finals is noticeable.

Books: Anything by Verlaine, Rimbaud, Sartre (yes, I like this era of French Lit..a lot), Beckett, Joyce, O'Neill, Foster Wallace, Eggers, Kundera, and the list goes on and on.

Music: Another never ending list. I love most indie music, electronic, and rock stuff. Faves include Gaslight Anthem, The Decemberists, Emancipator, Ben Folds Five, Other Lives, Anything by David Byrne

Shows: The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, Black Books, Louie, Portlandia

Food: I love anything vegetarian. Although I have a soft spot for French Fries. And if we want to add drinks I love coffee and tea anytime anyplace.

How I will possibly be able to pass my finals (at least right now haha).
Why it is that the majority of people on here say they want a message with more than just a hello, but those seem to be the only types of messages that I get a response from (maybe I am just doing something wrong..oh well).
Normally my brain likes to torture me...so if there is something causing me some semblance of annoyance it will play out ad nauseum.

At work or with friends in Brooklyn listening to some unknown DJ while drinking craft beer.

I have had three piercings and a tattoo...only one piercings remains unfortunately.

Truthfully, I love to have conversations...I feel like they lead to knowledge being exchanged no matter how inane it is, so please just say hello (and if I am on feel free to use the IM thing, too).

If you need specifics, here are three scenarios that might shed light on it:
While waiting for my car to get fixed at a local car shop, I was reading some poetry while in the background a television was loudly showing the Today show. They were talking about the Grammy's nominations for best song. The artists on the list were as follows: Ed Sheeran, fun., Kelly Clarkson, and Carly Jae Jepson. The anchor on the show then proceeds to say, "This year is very eclectic...very indie." If this makes you want to tear your hair out, you should contact me.

Or, if you have a desire to lay in the dark while listening to Bon Iver or Iron and Wine just hearing the music and our heart beats.

Or, if you would like to go on an adventure (to see a concert, to go to a bar, to just walk for the sake of it).
