I am creative, contemplative, and sarcastic.
My Self-Summary
I read the NY times online, the economist when I find time, I
usually go for world events first, and then find myself browsing
the science or technology sections. The only tv I watch is the
Daily Show and the Colbert Report, though I would like to find time
(sometime) to watch the Office, or some Battlestar Galactica (if
only time wasn't hiding so well). I play ultimate, practice Aikido,
bike as a mode of transportation, walk a lot when I have time,
enjoy movies (typically dramas or action movies, but not mindless
action, and I do have a soft spot for existential cinema). I can't
stand coffee but love a good espresso drink (from a good,
wholesome, locally owned blah blah...). I play games of all sorts,
from uno to diplomacy, from plants vs. zombies to gears of war. I
volunteer when I have the time, have done a bit of extended travel
abroad. I also have a 1 and a half year old dog that provides
wonderful daily challenges to this mundane Seattle life
I'm looking for someone cuddly and laid back. Ideally someone who
also tends to be a little athletic and nerdy and outdoorsy, not a
hard partier, and who also identifies as an atheist. I'm also a
firm believer that totally different people can be perfect for each
other, so really, it is all open to interpretation.
Also! I'm looking for a potential housemate that has a bigger,
young, playful dog. I'm looking to rent a house somewhere in
Seattle with a fenced yard and dog friendly. Looking for guy or
girl, if you know anybody interested!
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I work and spend a lot of time exercising, walking, and
training my dog. Also, always trying to figure out what the hell
I'm doing with my life.
I’m really good at
rolling, laughing contagiously, being nice, being patient (I work
with kids, hell), and navigating while I'm driving.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm bringing cut-offs back into fashion, I walk fast, I'm
skinny, and that it doesn't take long for the sarcasm to come
through.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Catch 22, 1984, Civil Disobedience, The Sandman, The Fever,
The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao,
Movies and TV: Shawshank Redemption, Pan's Labyrinth, Children of
Men, Aliens, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, any Miyazaki
film, Fight Club, The Game, Michael Clayton.
Bands: Silversun Pickups, Tallest Man on Earth, Explosions in the
Sky, El Ten Eleven, Muse, Ani Difranco, Arcade Fire,
Radiohead...
Food: Sushi, Thai, Indian, Greek, La Isla, Araya's Vegetarian Cafe
(I'm not vegetarian, but I go here often), Cafe Flora, and ice
cream.
The six things I could never do without
Friends, family, my feet (and legs, for that matter), my ipod,
baking soda, and my cell (sad, but very true). My seventh would be
parentheses.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my place in the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing frisbee at Magnuson, getting a drink with friends and then
maybe watching a movie.
You should message me if
If you want to cook some food up and watch the Daily Show/Colbert
Report. Or if you have a big playful dog and want to go to the dog
park. Or really for any reason.
