I'd like to think my pictures paint a pretty good picture of who I am. I hate dragging my butt out of bed, but love when the only sound I hear are my footfalls on the pavement as the sun comes up. Any time spent out in the sun well spent, whether it's getting lost on a new trail, reading under a tree, snowboarding knee deep in powder, or drinking a beer on a patio, it doesn't really matter. That's not to say I don't appreciate down time hanging out with friends or just watching a movie.

Cooking is something I've recently gotten a lot more into, especially when I have the time. I find it fun to experiment in the kitchen by creating something completely from scratch (ask me about my 4 hour lasagna). It always turns out to be way more rewarding (and tasty) than boiling a bowl of pasta.

My day job is working in the biotech field (yes, I come fully equipped with a lab coat and glasses). I help to get new medicines into the clinic. While it's frustrating seeing projects come and go, I'm hoping for the day when we see one make all the way.

My other passion is triathlons. Recently I got into coaching after competing the past few years. I find it to be really rewarding helping others achieve there goals.

Hmm.. playing not-so-mad scientist, multi-tasking and juggling torches... well, maybe not that last one but if you could give me a lesson, that would be pretty awesome! Working towards getting good at yoga again.

a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?"

The youth replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die."

"Son, don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't make a difference!"

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said, "I made a difference for that one."

Either out for dinner and drinks or relaxing while getting ready for the weekend. There's also the slight possiblity that I'm already dreaming by 10 and headed for the second star to the right
