I am a med student import originally from Austin and attempting to experience all that San Antonio has to offer.

I've had an indirect path to get into medicine - having been to school in several different states, studying several different subjects. In my opinion, there's nothing better in the world than an empty beach, sunshine, alcohol and a great book. So far, I've visited the Bahamas, Hawaii and the Cayman Islands.

I can be severely sarcastic and betray my love for dark comedy at regular intervals. Also, I'm an INTJ.

I memorize text books for a living and regurgitate them on command! Well...at least that's what it feels like at times. I've been studying neuro subjects for almost all of my adult life, and plan on specializing in some derivative of medical neuroscience eventually.

1) yelling at the TV real loud when college football is on
2) watching House marathons and pretending its studying
3) procrastination

Love to read - some of my favorite books include Harry Potter, Ender's Game, Dune, Watchmen, The Giving Tree, anything Stephen King (when he was still addicted to coke), Freedom, The Forever War, and The Selfish Gene.

Music - like bands from nearly all genres, but my favorites are Pink Floyd, Beatles, Radiohead, Grizzly Bear, Cut Copy, Daft Punk, and The Fleet Foxes.

Movies/TV - relatively recent ones I thought were great are District 9, Ted, There Will Be Blood, Iron Man, Moonrise Kingdom, Louie, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead.

I like to eat just about everything but I especially enjoy Indian and Japanese fare.
