What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved back to san diego 3 years ago to change careers and am working my way through a masters in architecture. Outside of school I run a fabrication and design company developing ornamental steel components for restaurants and homes, which I'll confess takes a ton of my time, but I love every minute of it. That said, I'll always try to make room for a beer with friends, a run, or a swim at the cove several times a week.

Ive been spending more and more of my free time in the ocean, I can't get enough of it
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
working with solar radiation and melanin to produce an amazing amount of spots all over my body
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
red hair, freckles, i dont know...most likely a little dusty
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

i would say ever changing, but some bits that stick...cave singers, donovan, neutral milk hotel, the boss, fleetwood mac. most albums/singers i hear, i fixate on a specific song and deem it a favorite, until i burn out on it after listening it to death... swimming song by loudin wainright III, end of the day by doug paisly, paper bag by fiona apple, dont this look like the dark by magnolia electric co...get the idea?

in books, i love those that cover the cross over of history and science. the why of things. some examples are "stiff", "salt", "the elegant universe", "chaos" and most anything by james gleick, "freakanomics", etc

Ive sunk into podcasts, the last couple months. some of the most prominent are startalk, ted radio hour, radio lab, 99% invisible, love and radio... a good amount of my time is spent working in my shop which gives me plenty of time to listen to anything and everything.

and in movies, i love those that get my blood pumping, laugh/cry. something that will take me by surprise
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a workshop, a scrap yard, a good beer, the people i love and maybe some inappropriate humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how little time i seem to ever have, and how much more i can pack into it, and consequently how to deal with the stress of completing everything
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
fighting entropy

you'd like to go for a run, a hike, a swim, or board games are always fantastic.

You're independent with your life. I love spending time with the person I'm dating, I love going for adventures, but I also love working late at the shop a couple nights a week. If you're looking for someone who comes home at 5 everyday were probably not going to work out.
