I am curious, competitive, and happy.

My Self-Summary

My life is like a board game. Sometimes I get a 10 and make it over the bridge and past that nasty income tax, other times I may pick a card and discover that I just had twins and get money for each one. Then there are the times that I hit the Stop Sign and have to wait a turn before reaching my retirement. Hopefully by now you have figured out that I was referring to the Game of Life. I know you are cracking up right now because of the witty parallels. Oh, and don't worry, there are plenty more where that came from. To clear things up, no, I do not have twins, I have not been able to avoid that nasty income tax by going over a bridge, and I am nowhere near retirement. If you really want to know more about me you will just have to send me a message.

What I’m doing with my life

I teach 3rd grade. I love the fast moving pace of my job and cannot imagine working behind a desk.

I’m really good at

Games :) I love a good board or card game. I am really good at eating, not so good at cooking, but I'm working on that.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know, you tell me ;)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite book = The Giver
Favorite movies = Garden State, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Wet Hot American Summer
Favorite music = classic rock, alternative
Favorite food = juicy, perfectly stacked burger

The six things I could never do without

Not in any order:
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Music
4. Art
5. An amazing book
6. toothbrush and paste (sorry, I know, that's two things)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

1. What I am supposed to be teaching...
2. Where I will be and what I will be doing when I am a grown up :)

On a typical Friday night I am

Meeting friends to have a few drinks and a great meal (at home or out at a restaurant). Unless it was a long week, then it is sitting on the couch in my pjs watching a great movie with a huge bowl of popcorn and a beer.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Haha, well, if I admit it here then it really isn't that private now is it?

You should message me if

you are... nice, funny, able to laugh at yourself, and honest

you want... to really get to know one another, not email back and forth and then get bored and move on. Real life interactions are so much more interesting.

you like... to have fun doing all sorts of different things, but can also appreciate a good night in.
