While I have been living in the NY area (Park Slope) for 16 years, I am a midwestener. I am a lefty intellectual who loves to sing, play my piano/harpsichord (passion for almost all types of music), hike, travel (local excursions or exotic/foreign), speak different languages (French, Spanish), work out (jog/swim/yoga) and eat different cuisines. I am a public interest attorney, and have always worked to help the underdog.

I am looking for someone who has done some personal growth, hopes for a better world (maybe has done something to help), and wants to enjoy life. Someone who is not afraid to disagree with me and hold her ground. An articulate person who can analyze, but also be creative and intuitive. Fluent with social analysis as well as analysis of the individual psyche. We should both express feelings well.

You should be looking for the good in people, and keeping an optimistic overall attitude...but not being naive about how the world is malfunctioning. Finally, we should be laughing at ourselves, and enjoy being with friends. I am looking for a woman of warmth who still has her youthful zest and energy, but also the wisdom of age. You enjoy going away for weekend excursions and walking in the woods with me. Back in the city, you should enjoy going out in the evenings or just hanging out at home.
