I am down to earth, geeky, and goofy.

My Self-Summary

I always have the hardest time with things where I have to talk about myself. It just seems a bit self-centered/indulgent. Guess that might say something about me. So... Everyone always lists all the good and wonderful stuff about themselves. I'll do the opposite because I'm a rebel. If you still like me then we can talk, have some tea, watch tv or something. I'm bad at video games. I spend way too much time daydreaming and a lot of times, I'm not paying attention to people talking. I'm a bad driver. I love talking animals. I don't have a good singing voice, but I still constantly sing, usually songs that just get stuck in your head and won't leave for days. I can be quite foul mouthed, but I'd like to think I have a very good vocabulary. I get startled easily. I'm always cold in the mornings. I have a hard time following things through (I have what I refer to as "artist's ADD" or "ooh lookit the shiny" syndrome). I can't leave the house unless I'm showered and dressed. I suck at telling jokes. So... do what you want with that. There are more but those are the ones that came to mind. OH! I can become obsessive about stuff like tv shows (the Office at the moment) or attempting to get an artists complete discography. I would call that being a completist, but I don't know if that is a thing. There is some good too, but you have to work to get to know that.

What I’m doing with my life

Wow. That's a good question. What am I doing with my life? Lots. My whole life seems to be one transitional period after the next. Just when I think I'm close to where I'm supposed to be, I go on a tangent and there I am, roaming, looking for a new direction. I suppose that's what life is about. But it would be nice not to feel so aimless.

If you want to get literal about where I am in life, I've recently finished my third year as a summer camp counselor/instructor. I have successfully (that word has way too many double letters) moved to Austin. I live in a pretty empty apartment which really works fine for me, but a couch would be nice. I have a small group of friends and acquaintances that have been instrumental in me not going insane through all the chaos that's been this transition. I work customer service at a video game company. I've recently taken up said video game and I must say, it can be fun.

I’m really good at

What to say here as to not sound like a self-deprecating loser or a cocky asshole? I'm good at being a goofball and making people laugh. I'm also good at the question game (you know, the one you play when you're really bored while hanging out with your friends). I've recently have had to become very good at budgeting myself, although I have an occasional slip here and there (Barfly's, or ordering pizza on the weekends).

The first things people usually notice about me

Not too sure about this one. It used to be that my hair had gotten pretty long but I finally got a haircut. I'd have to ask someone.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

This could get long.

The six things I could never do without

My family & friends (I know hoaky but still true), my iPod, my computer, my phone, mechanical pencils & a good sketch book, something good to read. This makes me sound very gadgety. I'm really not though.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I'm trying my best to take each day at a time and not really think about things too much. I have a tendency to overthink things to the point of absurdity. I want to not give a fuck about all the petty things I can get hung up on. I want to try just being. Its nice that I have some stability now. I haven't had that in a long time.

On a typical Friday night I am

I finally have Fridays off! This is something completely new to me so I don't think I can say typical but my ideal Friday night would probably be hanging out with friends at some outdoorsy locale. Summer is much to awesome to not enjoy and when you spend so much time in an office, you want to get out as much as possible. Hanging out and watching movies or tv shows is also a great way to spend an evening. Making a big night out of it by picking the perfect movies and making a buffet of junk food. Me and my best friend back home used to do that. I miss that a lot so if that sounds like fun to you, maybe we can hang.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can quote Saved by the Bell.
