I find it difficult to talk about myself.
I like to list things.
I am:
a computer programmer
a lover of music
a liberal politically
a feminist
sarcastic
an
Arsenal
fan
sort of awkward
mostly a nerd.
Other things:
I like crossword puzzles.
I love reading but I HATE Twilight.
I have a cat.
I love traveling and would like to do far more of it.
I compulsively edit things for spelling and grammar.
I own a
cunning
hat.
mostly work, but I'm also trying to watch all of Doctor Who. Three
is my favorite.
As of November, I'm also undertaking my sixth attempt at
NaNoWriMo.
-Making lists.
-Using semicolons and dashes correctly.
-Being severely thorough when it comes to fandom--this is the
impulse that has me slogging through all of Doctor Who around the
same time that I am trying to make it through Star Trek's
back-catalog and makes sure that I've read the book if I've seen
the movie.
Not quite sure. I'd hope it was my smile.
Bookwise: broadly, I like Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. More
specifically, I like
The Once and Future
King, Fever Pitch, Alice in Wonderland, The Ball is Round: A
Global History of Football, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and to some degree the Harry
Potter series.
Moviewise: Star Wars (the original trilogy, OF COURSE), Drop Dead
Gorgeous, Nothing, Lagaan, Serenity, The History Boys, Spice World,
and Star Trek: GQMF. I tend to do more TV, really, so--
TVwise:
Stargate Atlantis, Firefly,
Doctor Who, Strangers with Candy, The Daily Show, Blackadder,
M*A*S*H, The IT Crowd, Arrested Development, Futurama, Kids in the
Hall, Flight of the Conchords, The Rachel Maddow Show, How I Met
Your Mother, Star Trek TOS,
Leverage, Community, White
Collar.
Musicwise: Rilo Kiley, Regina Spektor, The Shins, Guster, The
Frames, The Magnetic Fields, Greg Laswell, Rufus Wainwright, Kate
Nash, The Weepies, Girl Talk, Metric, The Weakerthans, etc. (This
is, of course, just a small sampling.)
Internet(/computer).
Music.
Fandom.
My cat.
Arsenal!
Fresh bread.
Fairness.
Plot holes.
How right xkcd is sometimes.
probably on the internet. I wouldn't mind remedying this.
Alan Ruck told me that shame is overrated.
that list of television shows didn't frighten you off. I am really,
REALLY just looking for friends right now.
