My Self-Summary

I'm um.. not a word person. I'm more of a "spin around and do a split" person. Well, I guess I'd like to find friends, penpals or so to see when travelling. Most of the needable information is showing so I won't waste this space to tell irrelevant things about myself. Instead I'll share some of my favourite quotes:

If I could tell you what it meant, there would be no point in dancing it.
(Isadora Duncan)

So you can't dance? Not at all? Not even one step? . . . How can you say that you've taken any trouble to live when you won't even dance?
(Hermann Hesse)

What I’m doing with my life

Studying dance and musical theatre. I'll be a professional dancer within a year. Loving ballet and contemporary dance. Having a constant battle with my body. Twittering/Zanneling. Wondering if looking good with a tan is worth trying to get one.

I’m really good at

Hopefully at acting, singing and dancing. I'm poor at judging myself.

The first things people usually notice about me

Busy big eyed girl. Strict to myself and others.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

A) Margaret Atwood: Oryx and Crake, The Blind Assassin, Charles Baudelaire, most Victorian / belle epoque novels, dancer biographies.

B) Hmh.. Visual movies. The Company and other _good_ dance movies. Old hollywood stuff with Ava Gardner or Cyd Charisse. Gone with the Wind, Wuthering Heights, Revolutionary Road, The Hours. Anything with passion and a little bit of creepiness.

C) Jazz, blues, soul, R'n'B. Anything with a soul goes, very clean cut and acoustic based stuff. Emilie Simon, Sia, Zero 7.

D) I can't say I'd like food/eating. After saying that: Italian food and cooking, in Venice I ate more in a day that I usually eat in a month.

The six things I could never do without

My mum. Dancing. Raspberryfruities. A dutch muppet. Airline tickets /flying. Hairbrush. Couldn't cope without a hairbrush.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My feet. They ache. Travelling. I feel ill when I've been still too long.

On a typical Friday night I am

Dead tired. Either at home or out dancing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I hate doing backways somersaults.
