My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I could start off by writing "Well I really don't know what to say..." or "I hate filling these things out..." or "My friends finally talked me into it, I've never been in to online dating". But I'm not going to. Actually that sucks because I kind of just did. Oh well. Yes, I'm aware this paragraph contains a run-on sentence.

I was born in Spain and moved to the states when I was six years old. Having two passports is nice.

What can I say...just like everyone else Ive been through good times and bad. Right now is a pretty good time. I'm currently in a state of transition (though I kind of feel like we are all in a state of perpetual transition) and while some people get freaked out by change I tend to welcome it. Of course, some kind of "Rise of The Machines" scenario or "Zombie Apocalypse" would not be welcome. Or maybe it would, I don't know.

I absolutely love to travel, few things make me happier. By traveling I don't so much mean "going on vacation" but rather, well...traveling. I have been to a lot of places, but I'm (healthily) obsessed with the Indian sub-continent..there is no place like it in the world.

Besides travel I have a passion for music, all types really. I feel like a dick writing that I like "all types of music" because I think that's normally a shitty answer, but in my not so humnle opinion, if you truly love music, you can appreciate any kind. Having said that, I have a propensity towards Rock n' Roll and Jazz / Jazz Fusion. Seeing live music is fantastic.

I have a serious nerdy-streak too. I used to be a High School teacher, but now I'm a coder / developer / researcher for a rather large (and innovative) company. I'm not always thrilled with the idea of being part of the "corporate machine" but I work with a very small group of like-minded individuals and we truly are working on some very fascinating exciting stuff. It's a very positive outlet for my creativity.

Oh yeah and I like comics. A lot, in fact. I also love to read just about anything, from Dostoevsky to Salinger to Schrodinger to Hemingway to Tolkien and many more in between.

I spend a lot of time thinking. I'm able to entertain myself for hours on end doing this. In fact I would say my brain is my favorite form of entertainment, for better or worse.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After being involved in education for over 10 years, I'm in a transition.

I kind of figured out the whole "If you aren't happy with what you do, then you will be miserable" thing.

Currently I'm involved in software / hardware development and research for a some what (ok, very) well-known company. It's awesome. Programming / Development / Computers have long been a hobby of mine, but I always thought of a career in the field as boring. What I've come to realize is that in the right atmosphere, programming and development can be very creative and innovative.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

No, I'm terrible at sports. I have a good sense of direction...I've been told I'm funny. Also, I think I'm funny. So yeah, I'm funny.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would say probably my voice (people describe it as "unique", but like not annoyingly or creepily unique.) Then maybe my hair, depending on its state of being.

I'm just going to list these, but please bear in mind that this is just what is coming to my head at this exact moment...there is no way I could list "all" of my favorite things.

Music is especially important to me. I love seeing live music. I listen to so many genres and artists and appreciate good music regardless of how its labeled.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pen and Paper (or something similar)
Diet Mountain Dew

I'm kind of joking about the Diet Mountain Dew, but I think I may have a soft addiction to the stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
1.) how the principles of Quantum Physics might be the closest thing to a "belief system" I have yet to encounter that makes sense.

2.) how I dream in (computer) code sometimes. Interesting.

3.) the nature of "true" friendship. I've come to realize that some people in my life simply are not in fact "friends". In fact, they are the furthest thing from it.
On a typical Friday night I am

I don't understand the question.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

is that many people have described me as arrogant. I don't see it, it's just that I know I'm superior to the majority of people I meet.

you are looking to have fun and do not want to be judged. I'm pretty open-minded. Also I have a gorgeous head of hair, so if you like hair then I'm your man.
