My self-summary
My name is Faith and I'm old-fashioned (also enjoy drinking old-fashioneds), love cooking, and trying new places in Houston.

Currently looking for someone to share adventures with, both in daily life and big trips out of town. I live in Montrose and am trying to meet people who live close to me inside or just outside of the 610 loop.

I'm not on OkCupid for a fling or a Tinder Nightmare. I'm looking for a friendship with a spark that turns into something more.

I have an office job in Uptown, cube and all, as a travel agent. My schedule can be a little odd but I'm free most evenings Thursday-Sunday.
What I’m doing with my life
I go off and travel the world alone for a couple of weeks once or twice a year. Getting out of my own country and seeing other places is my passion and is the main reason I show up to work each day. I tend to seek out snow, mountains, waterfalls, and fjords. The antithesis to a snow bird.

You won't find me on a beach or in a tin can all you can eat prison (cruise ship) if I can help it.

Note: I've never been on a mission trip. I'll just fly to new places to see new things and meet new people and then fly home two weeks later. Simple as pie.
I’m really good at
Making big life decisions on the fly. One day I'm living in Dallas and then the next day I'm living in Australia for 3 months, then all of a sudden im living in Houston. Gotta keep life interesting!

That said, I've walked into a much more stable chapter of my life after living in the Houston area for the past 2 years. Now my spontaneity has transformed into things like a spur of the moment trip to Austin when only intending to leave my house for Starbucks and to drop my laundry at the cleaners. I already have my clothes in the car, why not keep driving :-)

I'm also good at taking care of others and making sure I'm there when my friends need me in hard times.
The first things people usually notice about me
With strangers, my sweetness is most common, or its my silence. I'm all or nothing.

With old friends it's how much thinner I am now then when they last saw me. I'm the incredible shrinking lady.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Travel essays.

Movies: Anything with a positive ending.

Shows: Not really applicable, unless you count Unique Sweets or Parts Unknown.

Music: Odesza, Chvrches, Flume.

Food: Almost everything. The only exception I can think of is fishy seafood and ingredients with an odd texture (ex: oysters). I love Mexican, tex-mex and whatever is being served from Provisions' kitchen. I love that place, I've never had a bad dish there.

Personal weakness = cheese enchiladas and single malt scotch
The six things I could never do without
-My family
-My 3 friends that are girls
-Access to cheese enchiladas
-Class Pass membership
-Faith
-A valid passport with a few blank pages left.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
1) Deciding on the country I'm going to visit next and what I'm going to see there.

2) Where am I going to work out tomorrow morning? Do I want to do spin, pilates, reformer, yoga, TRX or maybe kickboxing? ...probably not kickboxing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Washing dishes, baking cookies for my co-workers, watching Travel Channel, watering the plants, contemplating leaving my apartment.

Some nights you'll find me at Poison Girl and occasionally at Anvil Bar & Refuge during the day for happy hour.
You should message me if
Your at that stage in life where you've completed your undergraduate, have your own place, your own car, a stable job, and are actively looking for a connection that hopefully turns into a relationship.

That's where I am in life and it would be great to find a guy who's on the same page.
