My self-summary
I'll make this easy and give you the cliff notes. Some profiles drag on and on about accomplishments and likes and dislikes and when you're reading your inner voice says"get to the point already".
Here's your highlights - Are you ready? :-)
1.) I'm a people person. I love to be around people: children, elderly, teenagers, I love them all. There's rarely a person I've met that I don't like.
2.) I'm an eternal optimist. I always see the hope in every situation.
3.) I can be really random and love other random people. You know, you start a conversation about the weather and you end up talking about how bacon really should be its own food category called "awesome". :)
4.) I just might be the smartest "ditz" you'll ever meet. I'll answer jeopardy questions and then accidentally walk into a wall... They jump out of nowhere sometimes. :-)
5.) I've been described as "easy"... whoa...not that way guys ;-) ... in that, I appreciate and love the smallest things in life. Example: a stranger paying for my coffee, waking up to breakfast, or a sticky note telling me to have a good day. Those things just make me melt.
6.) I'll do just about anything to get a laugh. Think accents and random bad dancing.
7.) I rarely listen to voicemails. I see that you called... I'll call you back. Don't freak out or worry.
What I’m doing with my life
By day I'm a process supervisor. What's that you say? Well...my job is to meet with different teams in my company, assess how they do their jobs, recommend improvements, and then create standard documentation that everyone can follow. It's a niche position, but I really enjoy what I do. I get to blend the things I love into a single job - I get to be with really great people, write, and do some techy nerd stuff. I'm a not so closet nerd at heart.

Outside of my 9-5, aka my real life, *deep breath*....I'm raising a pretty fantastic little girl, trying to get out and see the city more, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering.
I’m really good at
• Making pancakes or any breakfast food
• Writing
• Carving pumpkins
• Making people smile
• Difusing uncomfortable situations - typically with a joke or a hug. I believe most things can be solved, or at least calmed down, with a hug. :-)
• Forgetting - completely contrary to most women, I know. I honestly have a horrible memory.
• Bumping into large objects and questioning where I got this bruise from days later.
• Loosing track of time and being 10 minutes late. No one rocks the 10 minutes late like I do. Unless we're going to the airport, ain't no body playin when we go to the airport
• Coloring inside the lines
• Managing projects
• Making lists
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile (thank you braces!), my bubbly personality, and that my left arm twitches whenever someone says any word ending in "th".
I'm completely joking about one of the above...you'll just have to figure out which one of these doesn't belong.
Oh and if you didn't sing, "which one of these doesn't belong" we may not have the same sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV - Newsroom (on HBO). This show is good. No actually.... it's great, and it makes me sad that we don't actually have a news channel run like this! I will admit that I do watch "The Voice". Feel free to judge me for this one. I can't explain why I watch it, but I do. I'm also a bit of a nerd and enjoy most anything on Discovery or Nova.
Music - I like it all, from Frank Sinatra to Staind to Flo-rida. I don't listen to much country, but I don't mind it.
Books - I don't read many books for leisure because I read and write for work, so the last thing I want to do is come home and read some more. If I do read, it's probably some trashy gossip magazine on a plane ride home from a business trip, or books about how I can do my job better. Right now I'm reading a content management and process improvement book from Harvard Business. Yeah... I'm a bit geeky I guess. :-)
The six things I could never do without
1. Food - no specifics here, just food in general. I wouldn't call myself a foodie, but I enjoy "good food" . I'm a sucker for Italian, Mexican, and good steak.
2.Humor - I laugh every single day. You should too...it's good for the soul.
3. Candles- I "may" have a mild addiction to Yankee Candle.
4. Friends and family (furry and non-furry included)- they are pretty fantastic.
5. My faith - I'm not a bible thumper but I do have a deep faith. I never throw my beliefs in anyone's face and really don't like when others do...My personal belief is that your faith should drive your decisions and actions. You honestly shouldn't have to say a word for people to see your heart. Our lives show our character and our hearts.
6. Hair dryer, mascara, and lip gloss - ok, so I added 3 and they all make me sound incredibly vain. I'm not. I just like to be presentable.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How blessed I am and how I can be more of a blessing to others. I'm in a place in my life where I feel like I need to give more back to those that don't have as much as I do.
Our lives are short and my goal is to bless as many people I meet as I can.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends - some nights I meet friends for dinner and drinks, other times I stay home and relax, or clean my house (who doesn't love waking up to a clean house and all your weekend chores done?!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I eat the crust off of my bread before eating the middle.
