Artist, educator, mother, sci-fi fan, nature-lover, eclectic taste in music.
I like hanging out with people, camping, hiking, softball, having dinner get-togethers or spontaneous picnics in the park. Spur-of-the-moment activities are great! I'm a big fan of enjoying cultural events in the city, or even just strolling and people watching. Mostly I spend time at home, doing home things.
I love people who are talkers, sometimes I'm quiet and introspective and just enjoy listening. And sometimes I want to talk. I enjoy debating issues and ideas, but not arguing.
I have a 15 year old son who gives me confidence that humanity will be ok and the younger generation will do quite well actually. I have sole custody of him, full time. Love to play catch with him, go camping, and go on long trips in the country, stopping whenever we see something interesting. I'm totally ok with welcoming new kiddos into my life. I love children.

Currently an assistant in a special education classroom (Emotionally Disturbed), and love it. (I am a certified art teacher, but I'm planning to get my special ed certification.) I am a member of a local art gallery- I really enjoy the location and the people there.

I'm a peacekeeper. I like people to be happy and content, and to only fight when something real needs to be fought over.
I'm also not too bad at gardening and outdoor work. I like being out in the vegetable and herb gardens, with the sun on my skin.
I'm pretty good with animals and children. And other things, too, I'm sure. I can play softball (I play softball in the summer), and actually, I am pretty good at most physical things, despite being out of shape.

I'm quiet and I have long hair.

Music: Irish punk (Flogging Molly), rock, classic rock, female singers, and much more.
Books: SciFi/Fantasy, non-fiction outdoor and science stuff, whatever sounds interesting (I love to read).
Movies: Adventure, Sci/Fi mostly. Not a big movie or TV watcher.
Food: Yum (yeah, a few extra pounds here, need to hike more, eat less, lol!). I actually have pretty healthy eating habits, not a big junk food eater.

I think about how I can do better in life, how I can teach my son to be a respectful, responsible, caring citizen, how I need to get out more and be more involved in my community, and all of the other things adults tend to think about in life.

At home, dinner, playing games. Not much going on on Friday nights in my life right now. Wouldn't mind changing that once in awhile- I like hanging out with people.

I don't feel guilty when I feel like I need some time to be totally lazy.
