My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

I enjoy doing just about anything, as long as it is in the right company. Theater to basketball, running to snuggling on a couch, reading to jumping out of airplanes... You name it, I'll do it. I enjoy camping, hiking, live local music venues, sporting events, special events and festivals, volunteering, and hanging around the house. I may get a dog again if I don't find someone to snuggle with soon.

I worked with kids for 12 years for a non-profit, then left to go back to school. For the time being, I work in sales. I just recently finished my Bachelors. I know what I want to do with it, but not the exact capacity or organization. I don't want my career to define every aspect of who I am. I've learned that I have to make time for me, and that means for "you," too.

I definitely want to find the right woman and settle down... but I have settled down with the wrong woman before, and I don't really want to do that again. Rather than feel things out for a long time, if I know it's not going to work I'm gonna cut the losses for both of us. I'm not done following my heart, but I am thinking about things a lot more nowadays.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it. I have a hopelessly romantic go with the flow kinda mentality. That does not mean I don't have goals, dreams, and plans of making both of those achievable... I have all that stuff bottled up, and I think about it and act on it, but I live in the moment.

I volunteer at least a few times a week for an hr or so. I'm slowly teaching myself to play the guitar. I like to read and write poetry. I'm an avid skydiver, and have been for many years. My perfect match doesn't have to jump, but would need to be open to my doing it. I exercise pretty regularly, and push it to run a 1/2 marathon or Tough Mudder every once in a while. I'm quite a good cook, which is great because I love to cook. I'm doing the sales gig right now. It pays the bills, but I'm in active pursuit of a non-profit management career. I hope it works, because I signed my life into debt for student loans :-)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making myself laugh
Making others laugh, just not as often
Trying new things
Remembering quotes, and then forgetting them before I can say them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
So, I asked around for this one. The consensus was voice first, eyes second. Both were because it made them feel comfortable with me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like to read pretty much anything, if for totally different reasons. Personal fave is The Sicilian by Mario Puzo. Pretty much the same with movies, but I especially like good war movies, and Saving Private Ryan is my favorite. If I spent the evening with someone I really wanted to be with, the sappiest romantic comedy could become my favorite movie because of the good time I had watching it with her. I'm a little selective with music on my mp3 player: a mixture of alternative, R&B, indie rock, rap, classical rock, and even a tiny bit of pop. When it comes to food I eat just about anything except liver and radishes. Especially anything spicy. A few favorites are Sushi, Thai, Indian, and Italian from The Hill.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hope - I'd make some up if I didn't have it.
At least a few loved ones - I'd meet new ones if I lost mine.
Water - ummm, I'd boil or purify water from somewhere.
Food - I remember from a survival class how to make a pretty decent salad from field greens.
Oxygen - Yeah, nothing I can do about that one.
Music - I'd start singing and making my own!

A close 7th is NPR. I've been a member for 10 years.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What could be. What I've learned today. What challenges I am facing, and how to overcome them. What are a few bright sides to every dark thing that happens. How can I reduce the amount that I over analyze things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, then hanging out with friends or sleeping because I have big plans on Saturday. Or driving somewhere for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That isn't really the guy from Breaking Bad in my picture. That was me on Halloween.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You believe in good communication in a relationship, and behave accordingly. Saying it is different than doing it.
-You can keep up a conversation about almost anything and enjoy it.
-You think you might want to get to know me. Chances are, I would like to get to know you, too!
