My self-summary
I'm fun to get to know--- playful, kind, warm, bubbly, intimate, fiercely loyal, highly educated, have a fantastic career I'm passionate about, cultured, smart, open minded. I'm temporarily overweight, so come get to know me and watch me shrink!

I'm looking for a long-term relationship with a man who is well-educated and passionate about his career (my grad degrees are from UMass Boston and Harvard University Ed School). I'm extremely confident that I need a creative guy who isn't boring. Ideally, if you have a Master's/PhD, it will get this woman salivating down there.

In addition, I'm searching for a man who is simply kind and compassionate (making the world or your community a better place) -- I come from a really nice family. For example, my paternal grandfather used to drive people to/from places if they were blind or disabled and needed a ride- - never charged anyone - just liked the company ... and his son-- my uncle Bill -- spent decades as a well-loved and admired priest- turned- psychologist on long island. .. My dad, who worked for 40 yrs in the same industry, mentored young men in the business according to old school values...My father's and mother's siblings have dedicated themselves to others and are/we're employed in the human service fields (nursing, psychology, teaching, psychiatry)... bottom line, I'm looking for someone to fit into the culture of my wonderful family. I'm happy to describe my immediate family when we meet in person.

With friends, I'm hilarious, approachable, and relatable. I've honed my sense of humor - it's a cool mix of dry/clever/witty and physical farce. I smile widely and laugh frequently. I enjoy humor embedded in professional and private situations.

I'm usually very transparent with who I am. I won't be boring and say "ask me anything" like some people do here... Instead, I'll offer it up to you.
What I’m doing with my life
WORK ++ Helping others. Social justice. I'm a therapist/clinician at 2 local counseling centers. I help individuals, children, and families regain foothold when life becomes difficult for them. I specialize in providing (A) in-home therapy (house calls to people who can't or won't travel to the office) (B) therapy in an outpatient/office setting. Both are fascinating to me, and I couldn't be happier!! But the paperwork is not that exciting.

CULTURE ++ For leisure, I love to be active and soak up culture (i.e., art galleries/museums, botanical gardens, state parks, plays/theater/shows, exploring ethnic differences and similarities in food/art/culture -- and more!)

BODY ACTIVITY & WEIGHT LOSS ++ I'm working on improving my shape (I've a ways to go, please be kind) through kickboxing, walking, cycling, exercise/yoga DVDs; eating healthier; ++I'm contemplating weight loss surgery in December 2014 for more drastic immediate results.

READING ++ Currently reading Baron Baptiste's book, Journey into Power. Next on my list is Red Hot and Holy.
I’m really good at
