My self-summary
My life has been an interesting story; one that I'll share since I can't just put, "I'm awesome!! Just message me, you'll love it!" It has seen its fair share of bumps. I was bullied a lot when I was a child, which helped to create a person that was very closed off. As I aged, I realized that that way of life just wasn't going to work if I wanted to be happy. Emerging from that shell has been difficult, but rewarding.
What I’m doing with my life
The never-ending grind that is school. I've been going to school for so long, I don't think it will ever end! I'm in Seminary school putting aaaalllll my wonderful talents to good use trying to obtain a Masters so I can do some work in the field of counseling or chaplaincy.
The first things people usually notice about me
Height/Beard combo; they're both quite amazing. Let me tell you about the journey that is my beard: On a mysterious night in a little city called Agrabah, I met a desert merchant who claimed that a lamp containing magical oil, if massaged gently onto the scalp and face, would create a beard that rivaled the most notorious dictators on earth. Of course I didn't believe this merchant, for how could a man with a wisp of beard truly know anything about beards mighty enough to be associated with tyrants! The merchant pleaded, making promise after promise (even to claim that a mighty genie blessed the oil) I knew couldn't be true, but I bought it from him anyway, if anything to shut him up. I put the oil in my pocket and went on my merry way. Call it fate, divine intervention, or just plain luck, but almost a year later, I chanced upon the oil. I applied it to my face and 2 days later, I had a beard that rivaled OBL. True story bro.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Mysterious Stranger continues to be the most profound book I've ever read. Life of Pi is up there as well, but the movie did not do the book justice.

I like to watch sci-fi movies and TV shows, particularly those that deal with time travel or alternate/parallel worlds.

I'll eat anything: Right now I'm addicted to Pho and I'm perfectly content with that. I also love dessert. I have no shame when it comes to dessert (or in general really).

I listen to Hip-Hop: Murs, MF Doom (and his many alter egos), Black Milk, Pete Rock and many more.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I try to learn from the mistakes of my past so that I can try to create a better future. Common misinterpretations of religious text by both religious and secular societies.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm a gamer, so I'll be doing that unless something else comes up. I default to gaming, but I abandon it to hang out with friends and family if they want to do something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Once when I was about 13 years old, my best friend, who was 15 at the time, asked me to go the store with him to get some snacks for a movie. I agreed, hoping to satiate my glorious hunger. We walk into the store and move directly to the chips section and pick out my favorite at the time: Cool Ranch Doritos. I grab myself a coke--diet because I was minding my figure--when my friend tells me to distract the clerk. I, looking perplexed, inquired further: What do you plan on doing?! He, in a very soothing voice, which was quite alarming in and of itself because he had never spoken that way before and I had known him for 13 years, told me that everything is going to be fine, and to follow his directions. Not fully understanding what was happening, and still reeling from his vocal seduction, I agreed and moved towards the clerk asking him various questions regarding this and that, much of which I can't remember. What must have felt like 59 years later, my friend walks up and sets down his goodies, pays, and we both walk out of the store. I look at him and demand to know what he had done. In his Barry White voice, he says that he will tell me in time, preferably when we were further away from the store. I collect my faculties and walk patiently to his house. Without saying a word, I look at him. He nods in affirmation, lifts up his shirt and shows me a video he had stolen: Triangles. I studied the video as if it were my final project and after about 20 minutes asked: Where's the other guy going to put it?
