My self-summary
I'm a compassionate person. I spent two years living in Mali, West Africa serving with the Peace Corps. I believe volunteering is important. I strive to live simply and to not be wasteful but I'm not perfect about it.

I'm an introvert, so I can be quiet at first and I definitely need time to myself. I'm very liberal. My beliefs are important to me but so is understanding other points of view.

I grew up growing to church and my faith is important to me. However, I think there are too many politics involved with religion, so I consider myself a spiritual person rather than religious. I'm also not about to shove my views down some else's throat.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm working full time as a nanny and getting ready to move to NJ for graduate school. Otherwise, you can find me hangout with my friends and family, volunteering, or hibernating after a long day.
I’m really good at
Baking, especially snickerdoodles. I cook fairly well and I like trying new recipies. I also crochet and knit really well. I do a pretty awesome job cheering for UNC, specifically basketball, but I like other sports too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I go through phases when it comes to music. My current obsessions include Mumford and Sons, Lilly Allen, Birdy, the Avett Brothers, Foster the People, and anything from Mali.

I've read plenty of books. I just don't that I have a favorite. I'm a visual person, so I love movies. I love classics like Rear Window, Some Like it Hot, and Sabrina. Basically, I love anything that is well made, has decent actors, and tells a good story.
The six things I could never do without
I learned to live without a lot during my two years in the Peace Corps, but the things that kept me going: music, friends, family, a sense of community, delicious food, and water.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a pretty terrible dancer, but sometimes you just got dance it out to some cheesy pop music.
