My self-summary
I invented bacon sweet-potato brussels sprouts. Shit. Is. Mind-blowing. It's like crack you can feel good about because, like, brussels sprouts. Duh.

I've got great rhythm for a white guy. I like to build and fix things with my hands (still working on "with my mind"). Your dog/cat/parents love me and you may resent that. I clean up like 007 and smell nice, but I prefer to be dirty. My photos actually look like real life, but worse. I have a filthy fucking mouth.
What I’m doing with my life
Re-organizing the shelves of the Church and Market Safeway by color.

Playing at the intersection of art, design, product, and shit-eating-grin fun. About four years ago I left a pretty awesome job to start a company with two of the greatest partners ever. We build amazing, beautiful things. I love my life.

Looking forward to traveling again. Three continents and dozens of countries still await.
I’m really good at
Focusing. When I'm in the zone (work or play), I am completely unaware of the world around me. Completely. If I'm reading, you could dry-hump a drum kit next to my head and I would have no idea. You have to say my name to snap me out of it.

Sleeping. When I'm out, I'm out. Like a coma. But shorter.

Emergencies. You know, like, when other people are panicking and screaming? I turn all rational and deliberate (very unlike me). Don't ask me why I have so much experience with emergencies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile a lot. Too much. There's not a whole lot that can bring me down. I lead way too fortunate an existence.

I could never be emo. If you're into dark, depressed, mysterious types, move on. If you're into happy, open-book but probably-still-bad-for-you types, keep reading.

Also, my tush.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books? For fiction, I dig bizarre and irreverent like Joseph Heller and Michael Chabon. I avoid novels though, because I have a problem putting them down and end up starved and sleepless after 33 hour cover-to-cover benders. Sort of like my version of AA, I've adapted by developing a taste for non-fiction. The world around me is just so fucking cool, and I want to know more. Unfortunately for me, most non-fiction is written in shitty prose. I deal.

(Sidenote: if you list Ayn Rand as a favorite, I will judge you harshly. But that's only because her books and philosophy suck, and every self-described objectivist I've ever met was an entitled, oblivious, self-congratulatory douchecanoe, looking for validation and rationalizing their misanthropy.)

On the movie side, I'm a sucker. Favorites are Cool Hand Luke and Dr. Strangelove, but I'll watch anything. Even if I hate it, I watch it to the end 'cause I just gotta know what happens. And, there's no denying a fondness for Cohen Bros, Kung-Fu, and the psychedelic/quirky (Tim Burton, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Eternal Sunshine, etc.)

Music: I love most of it, but inevitably I pick hip-hop or garage rock or blues or motown or 80s or classical or.... fuck, whatever. Chances are, you are a better informed music snob than I.
The six things I could never do without
Adventure. Friends/family. Sunlight. Speed (as in "velocity minus the vector," not meth). Art. Bacon.
On a typical Friday night I am
Food and drink with friends. Sleeping under the stars in the mountains. Sweating on a dance floor. Crashing after a really good week. Teen wolfing the A-team van.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My tattoos are 98% vanity (most are), 2% masochism, 0% meaning.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–34
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You have a passion. Anything (except shopping and/or celebrity gossip). There is something that will get you into a riled-up, hand-waving, table-pounding mess of enthusiasm.

You're a badass. If you've ever made the same man cry more than once, that's a good start.

You aren't afraid of a date. Here's the thing: in real life, if you seem cool and attractive, I will probably ask you out. In this accident of social evolution, we're supposed to fire textual salvos back and forth then feel we know each other based on a curated profile and each of our best efforts to craft something witty in writing. I'd rather just carve out an hour and meet in person where it's possible to tell if there is actual chemistry. That is, if you message me and I message you, I'm going to ask you out.
