My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Do you ever just get totally jaded about this whole thing? Well if you do then you know how I feel :) If you looked at this profile before and thought, wow how boring :P well read again, I might have changed some stuff. When I wrote the original .. I wasn't feeling like myself. I'm a pretty boring guy. I'm completely lost in life. If life were the ocean I'd be the guy off the side of the boat trying to reach the floating ring that someone kindly threw to me. I'm not a bad guy. I don't think I am anyway. I can be a jerk just like everyone else but I try to keep that to an absolute minimum. I don't go out much but all it takes is the right person to spend time with. It's happened in the past, I hope it happens in the future. I don't like coffee shops or bars, but I wouldn't mind spending the day at the zoo or going to the DIA. I like browsing shops, especially book stores. I'm a good listener, I care about my friends, I like to talk about almost anything.

I am screwy, unstable, and nerdy
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Nothing. I'm pretty much in between life decisions at the moment. Maybe more like a purgatory. If you have any suggestions ;) Probably best to keep them to yourself. I enjoy my bum lifestyle even though it's not conducive to... well... anything remotely fun or enjoyable :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I don't know. If I did I'd probably have a different answer for that last question. I'm good with computers, I'm good at typing. I'm good at making the best homemade fudge around :P (But if you like nuts, you can get your fudge elsewhere) I'm good at listening, I'm good at talking about meaningless things. I'm good at using my imagination. I would say I'm good at massages but you'd probably just think I was like every other male on here. (not that I'm not, but it's best if you don't think that ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well offline probably my weight. Online, I hope it's my sense of humor... whether it annoys them or makes them laugh.

a: The Towers of the Sunset by L.E. Modesitt Jr. I've never met a woman who's read this book. Let alone liked it. I personally think it's a fantastic book and a wonderful love story. b: so many... off the top of my head and these are in no way my TOP favorites.. mostly just the ones I can think of. The Game. The Truman Show. Star Wars (all of them) Indiana Jones (first and third but the second was horrible) Watching the Truman Show I'm reminded of how much I love this movie. Here is a man and his creator says "These are your boundaries, these are the walls that will forever hold you back." And Truman, even though he doesn't know anything at all, knows that he's being kept in a cage and he fights and he overcomes, both the walls and his fears. This is the story of a creation going beyond the dreams and hopes of it's creator. Breaking free. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was great but I've only seen it once. One of my favorite movies is What Dreams May Come. One of only a very few movies I've ever seen that portray something resembling what I hope the afterlife is like. (Well except all the depressing parts :) Another was "Defending Your Life" which was hillarious and cute. c: it's easier to say what I don't like as I don't spend a lot of time memorizing the names of bands I like. I just like what I like. I don't like rap unless it was written in the 80s/90s. I don't like R&B. Basically I hate anything that they play on MTV. I don't like country, well not new country songs. See, I grew up listening to two kinds of music: oldies/country and 80s pop/rock. While I can stand some of the oldies, I love the old 80s stuff. How can you go wrong with Cyndi Lauper? 80s Madonna? Prince? I like newer stuff, matchbox 20, maroon 5, what's up with the numbers? ... If you live near Detroit, Michigan, just turn on 96.3 and you'll hear exactly what I like. On the flip side I also love video game music, classic... video game music. Anything from the Final Fantasy series. I know this might sound odd to a non-gamer but there is some truly fantastic music out there trapped in videogamesized packages. There are actual concerts held in the U.S., sold out with nothing but FF music. Wish I could go :) d: hamburgers, pizza, goldfish, cheezits (get your own box ;P ok ok .. if you're the right woman, I'll share hehe)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my pda (with all it's books on it), my family (they give me no end of trouble but I still love them), I'd like to say the love of my life.. but I've been doing without her for 29 years, water... because nothing is better than a cold glass of pure clean water... not even sex... okay maybe sex, sex (see comment about "love of my life"), food... of course... I mean come on.. food is good!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
death... well life after death. Heck look at my death test :( I'm expected to live about 3 more years. I wonder what's to become of me when I die. Is there life after death? If there is, then what's it like? Am I fooling myself in hoping there is something? Maybe nothingness would be for the best. I hope though that a couple things are true: death is not the end of consciousness, life is meant as a learning experience and we get more than one chance at it. I really just hope there's more to death than life. I think about books, movies, music, people, colors, the sky, the grass, water, robots, medicine. Oh I don't have any original or interesting thoughts about them :) I just think about everything I see or hear or come in contact with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching tv. Usually it's Joan of Arcadia, Stargate:Atlantis, Monk, Stargate, SG:A (again, but only cause there's nothing else on) and finally Battlestar Galactica. However, the most important show is Joan, which is just fantastic :) even if it is christian oriented :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pretend I'm happy most of the time online because I learned a long time ago that nobody likes to chat with someone who is depressed. I really am interested in you, I'm not just asking you stupid questions just for the heck of it. But I really wish you'd ask me some, maybe it would mean you cared.

First and foremost, you're single and female :P from top to bottom. If we've got a high compatibility score here on okcupid. If you like my essay answers. If you're a nice, caring compassionate woman. If you're put off by just one or two things, try writing anyway. You never know :) Either way I hope you find whoever you're looking for.
