Greetings and salutations! I'm Jamey, a T-girl in Johnson City, TN. I occasionally foray into the club scene, but mostly enjoy quiet evenings at home with friends and loved ones. Throughout the week, I normally just do the whole job thing seasoned with video games, reading (theology, philosophy, history, science, Classics, and my dirty little pleasure of the occasional fantasy or Anne Rice), netting (far too much chatting for my own good), and music (I play a number of classical instruments). On the weekends, I like to hang out with friends and go clubbing (not so often anymore... who wants to be clocked pushin' 30 in a 22-yo zone? but the coffeeshop's still a good option), shopping, to the symphony, on a date, or to a party... whatever catches my fancy. Of course, I also like to just have me-time when I can just hide away from the world and get back to myself. I currently work for a major electronics firm but plan to finish up a degree at ETSU as an English major. Though my boss does want me to go into process engineering. Feh. Too much to do, too little time.

It's hackneyed, but in my case it rings true. I like most things. However since that's so utterly trite, I'll try to cite a few examples:

Books: There are some books that you just keep going back to... there's a reason they're called classics. I'm most familiar with Renaissance and antebellum American literature. As for pure mindless pleasure reading, I dig fantasy. One modern novel I dig is Wally Lamb's _She's Come Undone_; it spoke to me before Oprah found him.

How come air, food, and water so rarely make it into people's lists? I'll presume this goes beyond the necessities and into comforts. So instead I'll tell you what I could do without: cell phones, teenagers with a sense of entitlement, parents who foster said sense of entitlement, NeoCons, "free speech zones," and road rage.

Anarchism, Politics, Reformed Theology(Calvinism), and just about anything that'll take my head into the clouds.

You think you can keep me interested and you're at least fairly local (i.e. within 150 mi). I have a limited amount of time to spend on people I never see IRL and prefer to use it on those I already know.
