My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Red-haired, grey-eyed, short.

I'm not good at these sorts of things. I'm both shy and really reserved, so talking myself up is sort of excruciating. I'm pretty positive, I've been assured I am funny once I'm comfortable with people, I laugh a lot. I'm a geek and I like geeky things. I am a life-long Star Wars fan. I love Lego and books. My favourite comic book character is Tim Drake as Robin. I am easily distracted by shiny things, sort of like a magpie.

I like hiking and going for walks. I strength train and do yoga, and I don't own a car so I walk pretty much everywhere. I like traveling, seeing things and places, history, rocks, and anything that is really old. I majored in Archaeology and Medieval history. I went to Paris last year with my best friend and fell in love with it. I love cathedrals. My favourite artist is Mucha. I like to cook and hate to do dishes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was an accountant until this year, when I got laid off and decided to move to Victoria and go back to University. So I'm in the middle of a big, kind of scary life transition! New city, new focus, new life. It's equal parts fun and terrifying!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
my job. Knitting. Spinning my own yarn. Writing (even though I'm bad at filling out profiles).
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm short, I'm a redhead.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: too many to list. Barbara Hambly, Bujold, GRRM, Terry Pratchett, LM Montgomery, Robin McKinley. I like non-fiction but lean heavily toward SFF.

Movies: Star Wars, movies with big fuck-off explosions, period dramas, independent films (but not the artsy kind that don't make sense), Trainspotting, Indiana Jones. I don't watch a lot of movies in the theatre.

TV Shows: The Big Bang Theory, Hoarders (I *know*, but it is very inspirational when you need to clean), Mad Men, The Borgias, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones. Documentary style shows that are not about WWII. Anything about ancient and/or medieval history or archaeology, though sometimes just to laugh at how wrong they are. DIY shows. I don't actually watch a lot of TV.

Music: I like a lot of music. My tastes are...eclectic. I like folk music and rock. I don't like acid jazz or opera.

Food: chocolate, indian, mexican. I don't really like red meat. Celery is the vegetable of the devil.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my sister
my cats
the internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Unless I'm reading a book or concentrating really intently I seriously have an attention span of about 30 seconds. So I think about a lot of different stuff, all of the time.

...okay, that makes me sound like a flake. I'm not a flake, and I don't have ADHD. I just think a lot, about a lot of things, and unless I am really interested in something I will not give it 100% of my attention. For example, I can't sit down and just watch tv; I have to watch tv and knit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm a home-body, so I'm usually at home, chatting with friends online, reading or playing video games. (My best friend lives in New York.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't admit private things on the internet.
