Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First things first. I am not single. I am attached to a beautiful
woman but we have an open relationship and have had such from the
start. We don't do drama.
So while I'm not necessarily looking for a new relationship on the
side, I am open to whatever the universe may throw my way.
I'm open to everything from a FWB situation to a full on secondary
partner, with something somewhere in the middle being the
And for the record, this isn't about finding a mythical third
(unicorn) for me and my partner. Although I am certainly not averse
to it, as she is into women at least as much as I am. Also, any
real, *actual* Unicorns are also welcome to message me. I promise I
won't drive you into the sea with the Red Bull at your back.
I'm pretty heavily tattooed and am attracted to same, although
that's certainly not a requirement. Nature and animals are very
important to me and sort of form the core of what spiritual
leanings that I do have.
I am animated, happy, and occasionally verbose.
I will never have a beard. The current hipster trend of adopting
"homeless man chique" has never appealed to me in any way. Also,
I'm incapable of growing a beard. Sometimes, genetics smile upon
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well, a few years back I went and got divorced, left the career
that I had held for 13 years, and moved back to my home town of
Baltimore. Started fresh.
I currently work with a close friend managing the hobby game store
that he owns. Yes, that means I sell board games, D&D books and
magic cards to nerds all day. And I love it. I get to go to work
every day and SHARE FUN with people. Are some of our customers
poorly socialized weirdos? Sure, but most of them are fantastic
people. And ya, know, glass houses and all.
I recently moved into a new place after a few years of transition,
and I'm hoping to start up my hobby of carving wooden masks again
soon. Something that I was trying to focus on when I decided to
disassemble my life instead. :)
Once upon a time I was an anthropology student, and I still am, in
my own way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm also really good at eating Haribo Gummy bears.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, honestly, it's usually the blue dreadlocks or the tattoos.
And I have good teeth, damn it. Can we talk about bad teeth? Total
deal-breaker. Seriously. I see some stunningly beautiful,
intelligent women with just some JACKED teeth. Breaks my heart.
*ahem* Sorry. But yeah, usually it's my ridiculous personal
Sometimes people also seem surprised when an articulate, well
reasoned human being starts speaking out of my body. *shrug*

Books: Watership Down, The Lord of the Rings,
Robin Hobb, Jacqueline Carey, Joseph Campbell. I basically read
tons of fantasy fiction and natural science books, although I also
read my fair share of social science stuff and anthropology. I am
fascinated by religion and mythology and the place they hold in our
Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, The Lord of the Rings,
Braveheart, Dark Crystal, The Fountain, Moulin Rouge, The Prestige,
Baraka, Dances with Wolves.. too many to list here
TV: I don't *really* watch TV. Hell, haven't had cable for
almost 20 years. That being said, some stuff has made its way
through to me. Carnivale, Game of Thrones (big fan of the books),
The Office (original UK series only), Sherlock.
Music: PETER GABRIEL, James, Depeche Mode, VNV Nation,
Midnight Oil, early Levellers, Tool, Afro-Celt Sound System, The
Sounds, Shiny Toy Guns. I'm into a bit of everything, really.
Although I have no love for modern R&B or modern Country. That
being said.. Stevie Wonder? Johnny Cash? You bet.
Food: fresh seafood, sashimi, really good fried chicken.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order...
2. Books (I have far too many. It's a problem, really.)
3. Animals (Any and all. I have a cat named Aslan and I used to
breed Honduran Milk Snakes, of which I still have quite a few. The
cat is named Aslan not so much for looking like a lion as it is for
thinking he's Jesus.)
4. Love (yeah, cheezy I know. But my brother once told me that he
thought I was addicted to falling in love. Probably not far off the
5. coffee (my only chemical vice really)
6. trees (the only reason I could never live in the southwest.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the various writing projects that have taken up residence in my
brain. Left to it's own devices my mind finds itself living with
tree-frog-men in a mist shrouded mountain jungle or on a
neon-striped pterodactyl flying between cities in the clouds.
...and going back to Bali. I left a part of myself there, methinks.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing with a movie at home, or out drinking and dancing until
they kick me out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
So I already mentioned this when I began, but monogamy doesn't work
for me. I won't lie or cheat, but I am, for lack of a better word,
polyamorous. Yeah, this is usually the part where all the ladies
run screaming. Oh well. At least I'm up front and honest about it.
You should message me if

If you're not terrified by polyamory. You've never used the words
mousy or shy to describe yourself.
Also, for the love of fuck, why are so many poly women overweight,
with long, dull brown hair and a predilection for poor Renn-Faire
inspired fashion decisions and bad skin? But I digress. :)
