My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I always use my turn signal. Even if no one else is on the road. I think that tells you most of what you need to know about my character.

I'm a native Philadelphian who loves this damn city and enjoys everyday here. I went to school in Texas then returned here many years ago. Austin reminded of how much I enjoy it here, even though it can be a pain in the ass at time.

I've known my best friend since 1st grade.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm one of the lucky few people who actually love their job. I work for a big soulless corporation but my office is left on our own, it's a fun freak show. I run a department and do a lot of process engineering/continuous improvement stuff so I work with lots of customers, manufacturers, and other branches- it's fun. Hard to explain but I like it.

I recently, and totally by accident, started running a lot. I've somehow started doing half marathons. I invited a few friends to do a 5k in my neighborhood a few months back and it quickly spiraled out of control.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
riding my bike around the city, meeting up for drinks, remembering everything, winning breakdancing fights (I can both pop it AND lock it), and maybe two or three other things. Possibly four.
The first things people usually notice about me

It's the hair, it's always the hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Anything Vonnegut, Catch 22, John Gardner's Grendel may be the book I've read the most, Camus, history, music, or based off a subject I'm interested in at the moment.

Movies - Wes Anderson, Kurosawa, Cabin Boy (a truly visionary film), The Search For Animal Chin, Stranger Than Fiction, lots more. Favorites are documentaries.

Shows -The Wire might be the only thing I've watched the whole way through in the past few years. True Detective was pretty damn great.

Music - that'll take a while. I love playing guitar but I never seem to find time as of late, which sucks and is my own damn fault. All time favorites include Fugazi, Minutemen/anything Mike Watt, Built to Spill, Pavement, Dum Dum Girls, Les Savy Fav, Raveonettes, Mountain Goats, Black Star are astoundingly great, Pogues, Ramones (and lots of related angst based dysfunction), Shellac, and l have to admit I'm totally loving Chvrches & Beach House as of late - great pop. Feel free to judge.

Food - Japanese and Mexican (having lived in Austin I have a weakness for kick ass Tex Mex now & again). I was a vegetarian for 10+ years & would go back to it if it weren't for my deep seated love of wings, sushi, and salmon. Also Whole Food's Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Covered Caramels may be the greatest snack ever imagined by mankind, they really need to be celebrated.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bike
My friends
My job
Craft brew
The well planned use of an ellipses.
..that actually seems like a lot of NEEDS.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...why they don't have semaphore in the languages I can lie about speaking fluently. It would be almost impossible for someone to call you on it unless they had flags in their pocket.
...why ATM machines have decimal places in the withdrawal amount- its not like I can take out $120.38.
...which letter of the Arts Bank sign is out right now.

Also I suspect that the people who type "LOL" are really only producing a slight chuckle at best.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Antics, possibly even histrionics.

Happy hours are good, shows are better but it depends on schedule - early Saturday morning runs/bike rides take precedence.... sad but true.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've only done two paintings in my whole life but they were both of the same thing and they're both awesome. I completely believe that.
