I just signed up for okcupid recently and I am really curious about the site. I hope it ends up being a good way to meet people and find a group that I would enjoy hanging out with.

My friend pointed out the oktrends blog and it is full of really interesting info, from what percentages of people likely lie about their income to how preferences and interests change over time for women and men. Just a really interesting use of statistics and a discussion of how people like to represent themselves versus the likely reality. It contains tons of things to think about when you fill out your profile or even discusses word choice in messages and how that tends to affect responses.
