My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Goodness, I have been a bit bat at OKC lately- my profile was hopelessly out of date, so I suppose it's time for a rewrite.
I'm a laid-back, creative, generally pleasant human being; I am easily excited by trying new things, ideas, and making stuff; I'm a little bit geeky, but not as much as I would like to be.

I'm a classically trained musician, and my favourite new thing to do is act, so it's fair to say I enjoy being on stage. I'm not shy, but I sometimes have to remind myself to make small talk, which sometimes leads to people thinking I am. Oh well.

I make my living teaching music to people of varying ages, notably in various schools around London, and it's a fine job to have for now. It does take up more of my time than I would like, but given how many people seem to be unemployed at the moment I don't think I'll complain too loudly. Some of my students are really smart and curious, and I genuinely enjoy teaching them.

I quite enjoy a quiet evening at home, going to see a show, taking various classes (acting, for example), going on long walks in the city, cooking strange new foods (well, I'm a vegetarian, so not too strange), reading, train rides, and other intellectually adventurous activities. I have a hard time with the 'drinking as a leisure activity' thing, but I do like a good chat with an interesting person.

I'm currently in an open relationship, but I'm not really the slutty type; I tend to pursue a small number of meaningful relationships rather than hold on to lots of vague acquaintances. The same goes for both friendships and romances. I'm a very open-minded and adventurous person in the right circumstances, but if you're after a quick tumble I'm probably not what you're after.

It's worth mentioning as well that I'm transgendered- I used to be a woman. I pass easily and am generally not hung up about it, but if it weirds you out then, again, I may not be what you're looking for. And again, oh well!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, learning things, trying things... Looking forward to having more time to pursue my own interests.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Scrabble!
Also the bass clarinet (the instrument I trained on), and cooking.
I'm also a fantastic snuggler, just ask my cat.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've no idea, what have you noticed so far?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have rather diverse taste, and rather less time than I'd like to read and watch movies. I enjoy a good piece of classic literature, a cheezy bit of sci-fi, and an occasional oddly specific cookbook to whet the appetite. Current favourites are Doctor Who, Star Trek, Haruki Murakami, Stephen Fry, Shakespeare, George R Martin, The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings, Charles Dickens, Margaret Atwood, and many more. One day I will own a house with a library.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Laptop, a good book, tofu, my cat, comfy jammies, a sense of adventure.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My internal monologue is pretty much a constant stream of culturally irrelevant randomness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
reading, writing, out at a show, watching a movie
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think I'm a pretty open book, actually... I am not sure what I'd posit as confidential personal information. Go on, ask me a really invasive question if you want to. I'm not scared of you, OkCupid!
