My self-summary
Hello and welcome to my self summary section. I suppose this is where I'm supposed to encapsulate my charms and brilliance in a plethora of pithy prose...or I suppose I could just ramble on for a bit...not great at self promoting, but, if we hit it off, am likely to be one of the best friends you've ever had. You might want to have a glass of wine before reading on...and take off your shoes, too...there, doesn't that feel better? Good. Well, then....let's proceed.

I'm a curious collection of traits and quirks...very smart, have a sense of humor (see above), sensitive, empathetic, lively, and fun. I'm quite outdoorsy....like to hike, bike, walk, explore, lay in the sun, but also indoorsey....like to cook up a tasty dinner (cooking with a special friend...sipping a glass of red and chattering about everything and nothing is a special treat), watch a game, talk about what's going on in the world (I follow politics and current events...but not the People magazine kind of current events...those are just white noise to me), read a book, and just relax....I like the Italian idea of "la dolce fare niente" (the sweetness of doing nothing). Oh and chocolate.... can't forget that...do you prefer dark or milk (yes, this is a test)...

Some other random factoids: have a house (that I designed), a cat (that I did not design...although I adore her), a comfortable life, enough free time, and senses of humor, passion, compassion, and the absurd. Also common sense...and some uncommon senses, too.

I'm looking for a sweetheart/partner in crime (don't worry, mostly minor infractions;-), with whom to explore, laugh, cry, be playful and silly, share serious times, hold hands, travel, cook, cuddle, and wake up on the morning wrapped up in each other...saying with our eyes, "we did that!?"....and bursting into laughter...

I could go on...but you get the picture...if not, well, my picture's on the next page;-)
What I’m doing with my life
trying to make the world a better place...while still earning a living and keeping a semse of humor and perspective...
I’m really good at
making odd connections, seeing the big picture, being there for friends, compassion, passion, analyzing things, making horrible puns;-)
The first things people usually notice about me
oddly, probably my eyebrows...and my voice...it's deep, and people really seem to like it...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The best movie I've seen lately was Searching for Sugar Man...see it!

As for music...I gravitate towards singer songwriter types...with clever and insightful lyrics and some sort of passion...
The six things I could never do without
kindness
chocolate
friends
intellectual stimulation
travel
...and you?

oh...and the kitty
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the state of the world, what to have for dinner, how to be a better person, what makes people tick, why some cultures get it...and others don't, words, ideas, passions, compassions...
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a glass of wine, visiting with friends, walking, curled up on a warm couch, out to eat, cooking up something tasty....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I admitted it, it wouldn't be private, now would it?

Is there both private and most private? Isn't that kind of like like virgin and extra virgin?
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 42–52
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
something here strikes a chord...and you think we'd connect;-)
