My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I moved to Pittsburgh after residency (neurology) to start a new job. Lots of silly first job things happened, and then I wrote this. And then later, I left that job and moved back to New York. Hooray!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Things. Sometimes stuff. You know, just to mix it up.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The other day, I was at the Apple Store, and I explained the difference between the MacBook Pro and the Air to this couple. They said I was *way* better than the salesperson.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I look younger than I am. Then later, that I don't have an accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

General Likes: Friendly people. Regular exercise. The quiet corners of New York City. Sunshine.

General Dislikes: Clowns. Zombies. Reality television. I'm not crazy about Chinese food.

Books: All things O'Reilly (not Bill). I just read a great book on Elasticsearch.

Movies: Lawrence of Arabia. 24 Hour Party People. The Constant Gardener. The first Jackass was really funny. The last really interesting thing I saw was It Follows; it was kind of like a filmed nightmare. I don't know, stuff.

TV: Sketch comedy (Mr. Show, The State, Chappelle's Show). I've binge-watched most of the same shows as you, probably. When I was in seventh grade, I used to freak myself out by watching Twin Peaks alone. I think I left a party one time to watch it, but I'm pretty sure that was the episode where they revealed Leland Palmer was the murderer. Sorry if you didn't know. Broad City's good, too.

Music: R.E.M. The Talking Heads. The Smiths. The Ramones. A lot of stuff that I think falls under the heading of "Americana."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
having dinner with friends. Or at a bar with friends. Or at my friends' apartment, playing the part of cool uncle to their dog. Or somewhere else with or without friends and/or dogs.

you love standup but you have no one to go with. You want to meet for drinks on a school night. It would be awesome if you were at least open to the idea of something long-term, but if you're fun and a decent conversationalist, I'm flexible.

Also, I'm not Jewish. I only bring this up because I seem to get a lot of interest from women who say they only want to date Jewish men. I know I have a look, but I am frighteningly Irish. I did 23andme, and I have a whole chromosome dedicated exclusively to fistfighting and alcoholism. It's nothing against the Jews, they're great, I'm just not a member of the tribe.
