Eventually making small people. Little pilgrims all. Writing an elaborate fantasy novel in which said small persons are the protagonists. Reading it to them bit by bit, as tho it were a kind of bible, in order to help them better interrogate their tiny lives, whilst also impressing upon them the power of dumb wonder at the center of everything, which is not god, but the same embarrasment that in the right context follows a sneeze, and which, on a cosmic scale, is nothing at all unless it is fondled with the mind.
