My self-summary
I'm a nerd, and I love it. By that I mean I enjoy comic book movies and Star Trek, and I am likely to spazz out over things I really enjoy, earning judgy looks from others.

My biggest passions are Art and Theatre, and I feel like I need a partner who shares some creativity. I love my career, and I really enjoy producing plays especially. I also love camping, road trips, and flea markets. (Not the kind with bags of socks for $1, the kind with actual interesting old stuff) I tend to be a little shy on a date until I get a vibe that the guy is interested in me.

I'm currently teaching Art and running the Drama Club at a K-5 school. I may come off as a smart ass at first, but I really enjoy humor and my ideal mate should be able to keep up with my quick wits.

I am a Non-Denominational Christian. I've decided to let God drive the bus again. :) I'm not uber-religious really.

I'm a huge geek for Doctor Who.

I am not athletic whatsoever. I am not interested in sports. But I do love the outdoors.

I am not a "Woo!" Girl, either. (If you don't get this reference...Google it.)

I acquired a ukulele and have been teaching myself to play it.

Currently writing a book for young readers.

Playing lots of Yu-Gi-Oh lately. Also vintage Zelda.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm loving my job. As an art teacher, I've hit the jackpot: new school, new classroom, new kiln, great kids, and I get to teach Drama, too. Yes, it can be stressful, but it's my calling.

Last summer I got my additional teaching endorsement in theatre, and I'm thinking about getting an English endorsement as well. Bad grammar bugs me.

I spend a lot of time singing and acting in community theatre shows.
I’m really good at
I'm good at solving problems with creativity, and taking the reins
when no one else seems to want to step up. I'm also pretty good at
making people laugh, whether it's strangers or close friends. I
suppose you could say I'm good at making art. My students tell me
that all the time...but they might be biased. I've also
started acting in community theatre shows, and designing sets, as
well as coordinating costumes.

Know what else? I'm a very good kisser too. Just sayin'. ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually people notice my eyes and my hair, and my humor comes out pretty easily. I'm really just a big dork, and my goofy nature appears pretty quickly.

I have vibrant red hair at the moment, but don't expect that to last forever. I change my hair for roles all the time.

Sushi, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and of course just about anything my grandma makes.
The six things I could never do without
My relationships: with God, family, friends, students, colleagues. But if we're talking material things here, I'd say my iPhone, TOMS shoes, books, singing, my little community theatre, and the internet. I guess those aren't all material things, either. Oh well.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about my future dreams/goals. Sounds cheesy but I like to have a general plan in mind before I jump into something.

Conversely I tend to fantasize about running off on exotic trips without telling anybody but my travel companions.
On a typical Friday night I am
At the movies, a play, a restaurant or just hanging around in a bookstore. Occasionally I'll go on a short field trip to take photos with my old film cameras. Recently I've been rehearsing, building, or performing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a fear of people dressed in costumes that completely cover them; such as team mascots, or shopping mall Easter bunnies. Also, I am really terrible at bowling.

Also I'm claustrophobic. Don't take me to a cave. I also don't enjoy airplanes or elevators, but I deal.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 25–34
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you don't live too far away and you think we might have some things in common.

Also, if you ask about my natural hair color, I probably won't answer. And please no eye-fighting jokes. Say something different! :)

I am not looking for a friends with benefits kind of thing.
