I am happy, personable, and a nice guy.
My Self-Summary
I'm a guy with a great attitude that enjoys life, values peace of
mind, loves to be enthusiastic, is very masculine but sensitive to
the feelings of others that has the heart of a true romantic.
Seeking a lady that makes my heart sing...finds it easy to be
happy, blessed with a wonderful personality, is high on life, low
on drama, is very attractive and believes in the magic of romance.
When she turns just the right way in a particular light, it causes
me to pause...
What I’m doing with my life
My proudest experience is having been a Captain in the Marine
Corps. Most of my professional life has involved sales and sales
management. At the moment I am retired. I haven't decided whether
that will be my permanent status...glad to have the freedom of
choice.
I very much enjoy riding my cycle as a great way to celebrate
life.
I'm a big sports fan...loving my Tar Heels.
My gazebo in a lightly wooded area with many dogwoods with a
blazing fire and a wonderful lawn swing is a favorite area.
There's not much that I can't enjoy with wonderful companionship
though a little bit of book readings, chamber music and art museums
go a long way.
I’m really good at
Enjoying life and having a good time.
I love good company and good friends.
A great band in a nice setting with wonderful dancing and
appropriate spirits is definitely not a bad thing.
I have am very much a romantic who realizes that love is one of the
most wonderful feelings in the world.
I can have a great time going out, but I can be just as happy
enjoying a movie or sporting event with someone in the comfort of
home.
Having a great since of humor and not taking myself too seriously,
things that I consider supremely important.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would like to think it would be my smile and positive attitude. A
fellow that I worked with not long ago nicknamed me "Magic" because
he said I always seemed to be happy...I was very glad that's the
way I was perceived by others.
That age is just a number that I can't relate to..."how olds would
you be if you didn't know how olds you was".
I feel that some of the greatest things in life are the simple
ones...the spur of the moment outings for example..."hey, why don't
we..." when the stars line up and it just works.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My musical tastes are very broad, from rock to country to beach
music to motown to southern gospel to many oldies where they just
got it right. Amazing Grace by Judy Collins, My Girl by the
Temptations, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Lean On Me, The Twelth of
Never by Johnny Mathis, That's the Reason God Made Oklahoma,
Desperado by the Eagles...those are some of the "classics" that
immediately come to mind, and there are many, many more.
When it comes to food, there is just not much I don't like...just
some a little better than others. A great steak with a nice red
wine, seafood, barbeque, pizza, Italian, good ole home
cooking...the list could go on and on.
The six things I could never do without
My two children Tami and Kirk and my two grandchildren.
My wonderful German Shepherd, J R.
My motorcycle.
My Tar Heels.
My positive attitude and happiness and smile.
My good health.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...how everything is so much better when shared with that one lady
where there is such mutual delight and joy, the best friend that
sends ones heart soaring.
PS Not sure what I answered on those questions that appears to
indicate in every personality comparison that I am more interested
in sex than the lady, lol...definitely would not consider that to
be the case.
On a typical Friday night I am
Just no such thing as a "typical Friday night"...could be at home
watching a game or movie on TV, out on a cycle ride, out dancing
and enjoying a fine band, down by the gazebo with a huge bon fire
listening to great tunes in a cool swing, could be at a game...just
hopefully having a fine time with great company (which is by far
the most important of all)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Sometimes I'm truly reminded what a romantic I am...I see a lady's
picture that I find to be amazingly beautiful, find that it is
supported by a totally intriguing profile with so many interests in
common, and regardless of where she is located I think for a moment
"What if..." absolutely forgetting all practicality and the need
for keeping ones feet on the ground and that all is not always what
it seems and everything I have just seen is absolutely no guarantee
of outstanding chemistry. But I admit that moment of feeling
without limits is a very special thing...
You should message me if
The very best would be an attractive lady with a great personality,
living reasonably close that feels it might just be worth getting
to know each other a little better.
The test says I should be age 40 (which I refuse to argue
with...when you find the answer you desire, then stop looking,
lol). It might be a good thing with so many ladies in my general
area seeming a little younger. I have had a wonderful relationship
with a lady eleven years younger and a great marriage with a lady
seven years older...
