My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just a pretty average guy who loves his almost grown kids, his job, his Steelers, working out, cooking, Fall days, the Outer Banks, red wine, good beer, and making new friends!
Okay...maybe not so average.... I've come to realize most guys don't cook much, they aren't so involved in their kids' lives, they don't love what they do for a living, and they don't run half marathons when they're in their 40's. Too bad for them!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just trying to squeeze as much out of it as I can!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a good Dad...the most important job I have. After that, I'm a good friend...the kind who will bring the shovel and not ask questions about the 200 pound bag we happen to be burying at night. My Creme Brulee kicks ass.
I'm pretty good when the shit hits the fan too....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I don't look my age.Kinda cool cuz I can act 35 if I want to but have 16 years of additional experience to help guide around truly bad decisions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books... Anything by Robert Fulghum. Hardcore Zen.
Movies... I like comedy and action movies. No horror and nothing that'll make me sad. I refuse to pay to be sad.
Music...Eclectic...Blues, Hard Rock, R&B, Some Country...Depends on my mood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My kids (the center of my being)
My friends (the true ones)
Coffee ( do people function without it?)
My Jeep (top off, sunshine...ahh....)
Exercise ( been doin it so long, I feel like poop if I DON'T)
My job (It's what I was born to do. I'll have some connection with it as long a I breathe)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How many people it took to create this moment... We all think we're so independent, when the truth is quite the opposite. Think for a moment about how many people were involved in that cup of coffee you're drinking this morning, or the computer you're reading right now....It's a humbling thought.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're looking to make a new friend and see where it goes from there. I've been around long enough to know these things...
- There has to be an initial attraction.
- That initial attraction might fool you.
- It takes hanging out a while to figure if "it" is there, or "it's" not.
