I live near the sea in beautiful West Cork, Ireland. I'm a sculptor, making carvings in stone, work often based on ancient art and mythology. Teaching music (flute)to children is a very rewarding job and takes up most of my working time and at the moment. UPDATE: After 6 years teaching and letting my creative side wane, I have decided to take a year off, travel, take part in some Buddhist meditation retreats and maybe some yoga retreats too. I was in Sri Lanka in August and Peru and Bolivia in December and January and hope to get to the Himalayas in the Autumn. I'm doing a Kundalini yoga teacher training course now and really enjoying it. Apart from what i'm learning, it's also a great help in developing a more committed daily yoga practice.

I have an interest in travel off the beaten track, camping, swimming, nature, my herb garden, oriental art, literature, psychology, mythology, Buddhism, ancient cultures and enjoy listening to a wide variety of music including world music, blues, rock and classical. I enjoy the sensual pleasures of life: good food and wine, nature and the sea and of course wonderful sex within a loving relationship -the truly intimate kind (as in tantric yoga) where sensuality and spirit meet and two merge in to one leaving egos behind! :)

Teaching children music, more than creating art at the moment. Enjoying the house and garden I have been creating/building after more than 10 years hard work. (Help needed in the garden department if you are interested). I'm keeping up a daily yoga and meditation practice and it's good to know I'm still pretty flexible and can muster a little self discipline! In an attempt to lead a more sustainable existence without a mortgage, I'm thinking of selling my house and building a smaller, more eco friendly place nearby. It's good fun doing drawings and dreaming about it.

I put my age down here as 45 as so many women seem to use that number as their upper limit for a partner. I'm a couple of years older although you wouldn't know it and come on, you know men only start growing up at 40!

Just bought several books on Tibetan Buddhism, including The Bliss of Inner Fire by Lama Yeshe and the biography of Padmasambhava and his student Yeshe Tsogyal, Passionate Enlightenment - Women in Tantric Buddhism by Miranda Shaw and Vajrayogini - Her Visualisations, Rituals and Forms by Elizabeth English. They should keep me out of mischief for a little while.

Becoming more creative, becoming more conscious, not thinking, wondering if there is some lovely insightful woman out there to bump into someone and share things with.

I don't tend to think too much about what day it is.

I worry sometimes that other people can see straight through me -literally!
