How many pro-lifers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Eight. One to do it, and seven to yell that it was lit as soon as the screwing began.
Okay, now that I've put off the sort of people I don't really want to attract, let's get a start on the introductions.
I'm a forward-thinking human with a penchant for adventure, reading, bad movies and coffee. I can cook, brew a fine wine and address a crowd. I love exploring and foreign films(subtitled only). So you know, I'm a huge geek. I make no apologies for this.
If you can be open-minded and tolerant, I'll grant you the same in return.

By day, I keep TV working in Seattle, which may not be a good thing. By night, I make some fine beers and wines, dig through books, fail to play guitar and battle the forces of evil.

Does regicide count as a hobby? Long ago, I swore to protect this land from all kings, tsars, barons, and nobility. If you've ever felt thankful you're not a serf, you're welcome.

Making mead. I make a fine mead that will beat anything you find elsewhere. When I die, my wake will be covered. People will still be stumbling about, slurring their words for weeks after my body has gone to the med school formaldehyde vats.

I am bald. I'm talking shorn 'n' shiny.

a) I particularly like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy(all five books of it), and Robert Anton Wilson's Cosmic Trigger series. I'm quite literate and tend to devour books. Neil Gaiman, David Sedaris, Terry Pratchett, Cory Doctorow, William Gibson, Jim Butcher, Phillip Pullman, Steven Hawking, J.R.R. Tolkien, Aleister Crowley, H.P. Lovecraft, and Warren Ellis have been good to me.
b) I'm a horror movie addict and have a soft spot for Mystery Science Theater 3000.
c) I like a lot of genres of music, ranging from jazz to rockabilly to speed metal. Current favorites include --there used to be a whole list here, but it was difficult to pick through and who reads this stuff anyway? I'm on a Frank Zappa kick these days. If you loved Hot Rats or Freak Out, we should talk.
d)I'm not picky, but I've a soft spot for good sushi and curry. Not at the same time, though. I'm not vegetarian, I'm mostly meatless.

How to save the humans. If we build giant wind farms, what if there's an accident, like a catastrophic wind spill? Can you imagine the devastation? I can't.

I won't lie, I'm probably at work. Those of you who like to curl up on the couch and watch TV? Someone's gotta keep that running. That someone is me.

No doubt you've already looked at those pictures above. You see that thing with all the eyes? I know exactly what that thing is called. I know where such creatures supposedly live. Yep, pretty nerdy.
