My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born and raised in New Orleans, residing in NYC. I appreciate the bohemian mover and shaker and creative types. I’m an artist with an interest in social justice. Photography is my medium.

I'm also comfortable with people in the
medical/science professions as my family are all doctors of some sort. (But hey, someone needed to break the mold.)

My friends are interesting, smart, funny, sometimes sarcastic, always sweet.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I used to design children's clothing--had my own label that I named after my maternal grandmother, Ida. We sold to small boutiques across the US, Japan and a few dept. stores... Then came catalogs, the gap, old navy, need I say more... Well actually yes, my desire was to make one thing at a time... Images. When u are in the rag business you must make many at a time and then some!

Before and after that I worked for two well known commercial photographers and did some or my own editorial photography,Conde Nast, (mostly portraits and still life) etc.

After Katrina, I received a grant, spent a lot of time in New Orleans documenting the city. As people slowIy came back I made a series of portraits of two classes from a public high school with a troubled past which took about two years to produce. Later, I was invited to present the work at The Ogden Museum of Southern Art and as luck would have it Sally Mann's show opened the same night!
If you visit NO, check out The Ogden; it's a little jewel.

Now I am working on three new photo projects, one in Louisiana and two in New York, as well as a few commercial gigs. I also print part time for an art photographer and work about 15 hours a week for a wonderfully wacky and brilliant physician. In other words, I'm busy, but not too busy for a like minded mate.

I'm a nomad AND nester and was in a relationship that lasted 12+ years-- we traveled a lot, mainly Europe - but we mostly found ourselves in the West Village with a 4 year stint in a tiny river town up in Westchester. I'm looking for a mate who's ambitions complement my own. For the record, that 12+ year relationship ended a long time ago, so I won't bring them up unless you ask.

I LOVE hanging out with my family when I'm in New Orleans.

Dance and movement are super important to me. I take a Haitian dance class in Brooklyn, and I go swimming a couple of times a week in my neighborhood.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a choreographer, second choice was art historian, somehow I became a clothing designer, photographer, printer, etc.

I'm in love with New Orleans and visit at least 2-3 times a year, cause let's face it, if you are lucky enough to be from there... then you know what it means...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I throw a lot of dinner parties and am good at making people feel comfortable, so I've been told.

My friends say I'm a great cook, but I would say just good. (Four Sicilian Grandparents helped in that department, but more than that, growing up in New Orleans-- crawfish étouffée, gumbo - my Dad makes a mean turtle soup, but I stopped eating turtles years ago!) I Love to dance (have studied many forms of dance since age 3) I'm a good listener. (Although an ex just read this and said I was not a good listener, but the real truth was they talked too much.)

I pay attention to detail and enjoy good design.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A book I just read, a movie I just saw, politics. I think about what my next project will be and when I will finish the ones I have started. I think, when's the next time I can sneak off to New Orleans and hang out with my family and friends and finish that photo project... I think about life without my parents on the planet (the big dread).

Sometimes I think too much.

I'm a worrier but also carefree!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am more than likely staying in after a full week of work and play.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

If you are fearless, fun and authentic.

No snobs please, however, sophisticated, educated and ruggedly handsome would be more than great.

I would love to feel we are from the same tribe...

If your daughter or son told you they were gay and your response was "congratulations honey, I hope you have already found someone to love!"
"Congratulations" would be fine too!
