My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I usually have my feet on the ground, although every now and then I poke my head through the clouds. I'm kind, calm, and genuine, sometimes irreverent, and always appreciate authenticity and unique points of view.

I like going out, especially seeing live music, discovering little tucked away restaurants and bars, and exploring new hiking trails. When I’m home, I love to garden and cook. I’m always trying new recipes with my garden bounty and enjoy spending evenings filled with great food and great friends. Currently on the menu - freshly harvested fava beans and home grown flowers for the table.

I'm a little bit city and a little bit country. I love diversity and having easy access to urban culture, but I also love warm weather, crickets, stargazing, and lots of space for growing things. Someday I hope to have both.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I live pretty simply, although aesthetics are important to me. I love creating beautiful and inviting living spaces, both indoors and out. I like the normal stuff like traveling, firing up the bbq, dancing, kayaking, picnicking, and dining alfresco. Recently visited Costa Rica with a dear friend, saw lots of monkeys and drank lots of dirty monkeys..

I love fine art photography (I still have a traditional darkroom) and I'm always on the look out for artists taking photography to new and interesting places.

I work for myself and am fortunate (and grateful) that I have quite a bit of freedom and flexibility. I'm also grateful that life just seems to get better as I get older, in so many different ways..
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people feel comfortable, laughing at myself, turning "there's nothing in the fridge" into "what a great meal", resurrecting your dying house plant, being a friend, being generous, driving a stick shift, parallel parking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Eyes, dimples, green thumb.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music! Some favorite artists: Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, the Clash, Django Django, Devo, Le Butcherettes, Antemasque, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Savages, Prince, The XX, Wild Flag, Bowie, Patti Smith, Neko Case, Sonic Youth, Replacements, Joy Division, Billy Bragg, Little Dragon, PJ Harvey, Cat Power, New York Dolls, No Age, Television, Velvet Underground, Blondie, Art Blakey, Iggy, Al Green, Marianne Faithful, Bosnian Rainbows, X, LCD Soundsystem, Thelonius Monk, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Who, old school punk, oh, and Bach Suites for Solo Cello.

I lean toward seeing documentaries, independent and foreign films. I'm still trying to get through my ever growing stack of New Yorkers. I've been reading a lot of autobiographies lately.

I'm not picky about food, as long as it's made with quality ingredients. I mainly cook vegetarian at home, but occasionally eat meat and fish.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, affection, gardens, humor, pets, art, cities - seven things..
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How important it is to accept what is, and enjoy it, instead of worrying about what isn't.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends, usually having dinner with friends or seeing live music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty open... but in private!
