My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Kind, playful, genuine, and curious. I usually have my feet on the ground. I enjoy living in the city and love the easy access to great live music, art galleries, and diverse restaurants and bars. I prefer dining alfresco when I can and know where to find lots of lovely (and heated!) outdoor patios. I also like hiking and kayaking (especially in Point Reyes), picnics just about anywhere, long meals with good friends, and digging in the dirt.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Lots of gardening, I love to grow things, especially flowers, home grown bouquets make me happy. I also travel a lot with friends, see as much live music as I can, barbeque, dance, throw dinner parties, hang out in my garden at dusk. I work for myself and am fortunate (and grateful) that I have quite a bit of freedom and flexibility.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Growing things! I can resurrect your dying houseplant and can create an urban oasis from the smallest of spaces. I'm also a decent cook and love hosting dinners whether for two or for ten. I'm good at being a friend and being generous, I'm reliable, and, I'm good at driving a stick shift.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Eyes, dimples, green thumb.

I lean toward seeing indie movies and documentaries. Some standouts: Herb and Dorothy, Beauty is Embarrassing, Pina, Waltz with Bashir, Alamar, Little Dieter Needs to Fly, Shut Up & Sing, Buck, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Grizzly Man, Happy Together.

My favorite new book - Viv Albertine's memoir Clothes Clothes Clothes Music Music Music Boys Boys Boys. Still trying to get through my ever growing stack of New Yorkers..

With music, I'm kind of all over the place. Some of my favorite artists in no particular order are Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, the Clash, Django Django, Devo, Le Butcherettes, Antemasque, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Savages, Prince, The XX, Wild Flag, Bowie, Patti Smith, Neko Case, Sonic Youth, Replacements, Joy Division, Billy Bragg, Little Dragon, PJ Harvey, Cat Power, New York Dolls, No Age, Television, Velvet Underground, Blondie, Art Blakey, Iggy, Al Green, Marianne Faithful, Bosnian Rainbows, X, LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Who, old school punk, oh, and Bach Suites for Solo Cello.

I'm not picky about food, as long as it's made with quality ingredients. I mainly cook vegetarian at home, but occasionally eat meat and fish.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, affection, gardens, humor, pets, cities.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How important it is to accept what is, and enjoy it, instead of worrying about what isn't.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends, usually having dinner with friends or seeing live music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll save this for later..
