I am Intelligent, Introspective, and Introverted.

My Self-Summary

I'm a guy. Don't really know what to say. I'm a nice guy, and in my experience, that hasn't worked out nearly as well as girls say it would. I'm smart, pursuing post-secondary education at the local University of Manitoba. I don't like the club scene, and I'm in a pretty male-dominated specialty at school, so I don't get a lot of opportunity to meet women. Other than that, I dunno what to say. Drop me a line if you're interested in my life story.
Now in Russian
This is the extend of my Russian skills; that is to say, this is about as much as I can say without resorting to online translators at the moment:

Меня зовут Тим. Я изучаю русский язык.

So if any of you speak Russkiy Yazik, feel free to help in my studies.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm just going through the university system, so I can get a degree, which I'm told is the key to success. In all seriousness, though, I'm going through university, and quite enjoying myself. Ideally this would lead to higher (and higher quality) education, or a sweet job. At the moment I'm not picky, just seeing where I go.

I've recently started a project to learn to speak Russian. Wish me luck!

I’m really good at

Thinking critically and logically. Also, in the realm of things less boring, games involving cards, boards, or videos. Particularly strategy games. I play a mean saxophone, and a not so mean but equally good flute. I'm also pretty good at cooking, FWIW. Ahh, yes, and I'm good with acronyms. lol

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably how I'm not terribly tall, or, if I haven't shaved in a while, the beard. I'm not rightly sure; I'm not other people. I've known me forever so I can't remember the first thing I noticed.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I don't want to make a giant list here any more than you all want to read it, so here's my abridged version

Favourite Books:
Dune (original series), GEB/I Am a Strange Loop

Favourite TV shows (I don't watch a ton of movies):
Firefly, Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld, House.

Favourite Music:
It's all over the place. My general favourites are classical (ie Bach, Mahler, Sibelieus, etc), 70s Rock (ie Pink Floyd), new age/instrumental (ie a bunch of stuff you've probably never heard of), and so forth. Recently I've found a bunch of good music at www.magnatune.com

Favourite Food:
Almost all of it.

The six things I could never do without

Aside from the obvious ones (because, lets face it, no one really thinks that joke is funny when you say it; they already have)

Computer
Internet
Music and Music Playing Devices
My Bicycle
My family/friends/colleagues
Intellectual stimulation

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Philosophy. The world, and how I fit into it. The nature of truth.

On a more down-to-earth level, I spend a large amount of time thinking about my education, and also thinking about relationships in general and specific.

On a typical Friday night I am

I'm a full-time university student. This seems to be taking up a lot of my time these days. :(. Guess that's the price I pay to invest in my future?

Weather permitting, I go biking on Friday evenings. It's very enjoyable.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Haha. Nice try, but you're not getting it that easily. Why would I tell private things to random strangers on the internet!

You should message me if

Experience shows that, in general, guys message girls way more than the other way around, so I'm pretty sure what I put here is irrelevant. But, because blanket assumptions like that are a Bad Thing:

You should message me if, first and foremost, you think I sound like someone you'd *want* to message. Secondly, and this'll come as a shock to all you girls who would never have expected to hear this, you should message me if you're interested in a relationship, and not just a one-night stand. I've never been interested in meaningless physical relationships, and I don't think that's going to change any time soon. On the flip side, though, if you're one of those people who just came here for the quizzes and doesn't have any intention of getting to know me IRL, probably shouldn't bother messaging me.
