My self-summary Propose an edit

Hmm. Where to start? I like romantic dinners and long walks on the beach...heh just kidding. I love beaches but walking on them for too long kinda hurts! It's a good excuse to be barefoot, though. I like being barefoot.

So lets see...what am I about? I guess I believe in living every moment to it's fullest, and that's exactly what I'm trying to do :). More specifically I suppose, I love music and theater, but what I adore most is just being with people. I love companionship and closeness, whether it's closeness of bodies in a party/snuggle or closeness of minds and hearts in time with friends. My favorite is the wedding of the two :). I also, however, love quiet time to curl up with a book or a really good movie. Oh, and climbing! I LOVE climbing. I also have a tendency to go chasing thrills...my like of heights leads me towards things like flying trapeze and bungee jumping! Skydiving is definitely next on the list =^-^=

Let's see...what else to talk about? I'm a bit of a hippie...ok fine I'm a lot of a hippie. I'm really environmentally friendly and very anti-war. I also love animals, I hope I'll spend my life working with them, maybe wildlife rehab.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Currently, I'm just going to college and having a great time with it. I love my classes and the stuff I'm learning (I'm studying behavioral biology, which is essentially psychology with a heavy emphasis on animal behavior and the physiology behind it), but I'm also making new friends and exploring who I am. I'm also teaching little third grade Jews Hebrew, which is simultaneously surprisingly enjoyable and quite lucrative for the hours I put in. I also volunteer at a couple of animal shelters :)

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Let's see...I'm pretty good at DDR (yep, I'm a bit of a dork) and at being Jewish. Now those are some useful talents, eh? I'm also pretty good at sleeping, and (what a huge surprise) get along phenomenally well with most things fuzzy, slithery, crawly, and feathery.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

People probably first notice my hair...it's two tone and rather distinctive. Still a leftover rainbow from Halloween...I'm always really amused when people ask me "how did you do that?" How am I supposed to answer that question? Um, hair dye. Yeah.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Yay for an excuse to play with these brackets! Ok:

Books: The Sight by David Clement Davies, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, The Harry Potters, everything by Terry Goodkind (Read his Sword of Truth series, it's AMAZING), most things by Shakespeare, particularly King Lear (side note: I went to England this summer to take a couple of courses on him...and got to see a bunch of shows...that was wow), anything by Anne Bishop, and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

Movies: Wow there's a lot of these...the first on the list, I have no shame to admit, is The Little Mermaid. Afterwards comes things like The Boondock Saints, The Prince and Me, V for Vendetta, Braveheart, Pan's Labyrinth, 10 Things I Hate About You, Fight Club... :)

Music: There's little that I dislike! My favorites are rock, hard rock, metal, techno, punk, ska, and pop, but I really like anything except for easy listening and bad country.

Food: Yum! Although I am a vegan and way pro-animal rights. I guess at the top of the list would have to be dark chocolate <3, closely followed by sushi (of the veggie persuasion). I'm also working on my vegan baking skills :p

Amusing side note...despite being a vegan I have no issues feeding my ball python mice. Funny how that works :D

Probably out with friends. Could be a party, a concert, whatever! Just someplace fun and dynamic :). There's a good chance it's also somewhere where I can meet new people.

Either that or I've blown all that off to stay inside and watch Doctor Who...
