My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Brunch is the most important meal of the day.

I tell the same jokes over and over and I still think they're funny every time.

I'm a recent college grad, a super duper extrovert, and a ballroom dancer. I'm never shy, I'm a little silly, pretty geeky, and I love to listen as much as I talk... which is a lot.

I made an 8 foot long map of Massachusetts (Map'o'chusetts) that hangs on my wall. My goal is to travel to all 351 towns and cities in MA.

I'm a native to the Boston area and there's nothing I love more than spending time in and around this city. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I dance…a lot. I spend as much time at my studio as possible, especially now that it's summer. I compete a few times a year.

I love Pokemon. Like, I really love it. I haven't stopped playing since I was 5. If you tell me you only like the originals or stopped after gen 2 because there were 'too many pokemon,' I won't be impressed.

At school I studied business and religion. Business because it's practical and religion (not theology) because it's interesting! I love, love, love Islam.

I've never stopped reading. People who like to read but don't have time make me sad. I really love NPR and whenever I go to Porter Square I point out all the businesses that underwrite on WBUR. I listen to ska and punk music, and Big D and the Kids Table is my favorite band (I've seen them 19 times now). I also have a chinchilla and he's a precious, perfect angel. 'm a little obsessed. Actually I just really love animals. You know how little kids get really excited every time they see a dog? That's me. I haven't grown out of it. I almost got into a car accident over a pug yesterday.

I have a lot of feelings about Kim Kardashian.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Dancing and dancing, moving to Medford, cleaning the chinchilla cage, which is the ultimate Sisyphean task.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Building IKEA furniture. Seriously, I worked there and it was literally my job.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
physically, eyes; personality, that I'm not shy.

Movies: Moonrise Kingdom, Up, Scott Pilgrim vs the World. I love animated movies. I haven't seen many movies, though.

I really, really, really, really, really hate country music. Really. It actually makes me angry.

Books: Fiction: Orson Scott Card, Gillian Flynn, Michael Grant, John Green, George R. R. Martin, Jodi Picoult, Tamora Pierce, Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Boys might be my favorite YA book of all time), Scott Westerfeld, The Time Traveler's Wife, The Night Circus, Water for Elephants,
Non-fiction: Erik Larson, those anecdotal memoirs about doctors' years in residency for some reason, looooots of books about religion.

I feel like I'm in a place where I can read both YA and adult fiction, which is an awesome place to be. I prioritize reading over other things. I hope you do, too.

Food: chipotle and buffalo chicken.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
good books, human interaction, ballroom, interesting people, NPR, my chinchilla.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to help people, intersectional feminism, dance, pokemon, when I can squeeze in a nap, what would happen if I could make people not see trees

Also how those people who 'wish they were born in a different era' would be miserable without texting or, like, basic human rights
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Generally I go to dance until around 10:30 and then I go out after.

I'd tell you I don't want to be invited to your threesome but that would be a lie

You have something interesting to say, not just hello. Because if you say just hello, how are you, I probably won't answer just cause I'll forget, and then Okcupid will tell people that I reply very selectively, which really isn't true, and then everyone in the whole world loses. everyone. EVERYONE.
