My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a fun-loving guy doing my best to cope with a world in which Ben Affleck is Batman. Aren't we all?

I'm originally from Oregon - the most beautiful place in the world - but the climate and craft beer scene here more than make up for the sales tax and pumping my own gas. I've been incredibly fortunate in my friends, family, and life opportunities, and try to live a philosophy of leaving people and things better than I found them. I enjoy flying airplanes, creating and listening to music, traveling, playing tennis, and pub quizzes, and am trying to figure out which country I'll move to in a couple years and how exactly I'll accomplish that.

I get along easily with people and am fairly outgoing for an introvert (INTJ, for those who like to categorize), but I still enjoy my downtime. I'm attracted to outspoken women who are literate, driven, warm and genuine with style and a great sense of humor.

I feel the need to mention this because the site's algorithms won't catch it: if The Big Bang Theory is your favorite show, we're not a match and are, in fact, more than likely 90% enemies.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Technical instruction in a green building trade and getting my commercial pilot's license so I can be the guy towing the Geico banner over Mission Beach on Saturdays.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm. Empathy. Cutting through bullshit. Getting served in bars. Jumping on and off TV show bandwagons. Dating women who are orders of magnitude more educated than I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

TV shows: Breaking Bad, Family Guy, The West Wing, The League, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development, Frasier, The Simpsons

Music: Blitzen Trapper, Dawes, Margot and the Nuclear So-and-Sos, Band of Skulls, Neil Young, The Raconteurs, Steely Dan, Lake Street Dive, Led Zeppelin, Monsters of Folk, Ween, LCD Soundsystem, Cold War Kids, Wilco, Metric, Citizen Cope, Ben Howard, CAKE, Blind Pilot, Brett Dennen, Modest Mouse, Eels, The Flaming Lips. This could go on for awhile...

Food: nothing beats massamun curry on a winter evening.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Spotify. The smell of fresh tennis balls. Coffee with Emmett's Irish cream on Sunday mornings. Enough books to threaten me with a hernia when moving. Vitamin D. A guitar.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Places I want to travel, sights I want to see, and what the years to come will bring.

You have a weakness for rugged, smart, slightly nerdy guys who vaguely resemble Taco from The League.
