My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a rich and rewarding life full of treasured relationships and beautiful experiences. I know that this life is a journey that is sweeter when shared with someone special. That is what brings me to Ok Cupid – the quest to find someone lovely with whom I can continue to walk down the road of life. I hope that is what brings you here too.

I am a passionate and romantic man. I am somewhat traditional in my values and still believe in chivalrous behavior. I also strive to live my life to a high standard of honesty and integrity. I have a kind and compassionate heart. I consider myself an excellent listener and conversationalist. I carry myself with confidence. I believe that I have a strong sense of humor. I may seem to be a paradox at times, but I think multi-dimensional is a better descriptor. I know how to be responsible, but also have a lighthearted playful side. I love to plan events but can be delightfully spontaneous. I tend to be very active, but I know how to stop and smell the roses.

I value my friends and family highly. My children are the best in the world, and my friends are supportive and fun loving. I feel fortunate to have a career in technology that affords me the opportunity to travel frequently and provides me with challenging work that I enjoy immensely. I have a rich and full life that I often take time to give back to the community. For example, I like to do community service work in a DC kitchen.

I live an active lifestyle. I ride my bike to the gym at least four days per week. I also enjoy boating and take yoga classes on Saturday mornings. I love to spend time outdoors, so picnics and outdoor cafes are just perfect. Fine dining (Red Hen, Roses Luxury, Mintwood, Capitol Sushi) or dive noshing (Two Amy’s, Surfside, Cantler's) both appeal to my foodie side.

Life is for living, so I much prefer living it fully as opposed to vegetating in front of the television. I’m always up for a deep conversation, a fascinating read, or a leisurely stroll holding hands with my love. I enjoy an intense sporting event, live music with dancing, or exploring a museum. When the snow falls, and I can snuggle in with my special someone -- that is pure bliss!

My ideal woman is constantly learning new things, ready to explore the unknown, and treasuring what she has. She is adventurous, spontaneous, and intelligent. She has goals for her life and is driven to achieve them. She knows the value of work/life balance and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. She is honest in her dealings with other people, treats others with respect, and laughs easily and often. She is prepared to share her innermost thoughts and feelings and is comfortable in her own skin.

Ideally, we will find the type of connection where it feels like we have known each other for a long time. When we connect, we will build a relationship built on trust and openness, where there are no secrets and no topic is out of bounds. We will be able to share our thoughts freely. We will laugh, explore, and love. Are you ready? Say hello and let’s get to know one another.
