I am independent, artistically creativ, and thoughtful.

My Self-Summary

I'm an independent, self-employed, spiritual and creative woman. I love nature, hiking the woods, pic-nics by the river or cruising the parkway. I've dabbled in oil painting and carved wood and stone.
I'd love to go horseback riding more often and to see the Mayan ruins.

I respect the rights of all things to have their place in this universe (except maybe poison ivy and mosquitoes). My Rott-N-Lab, Xena is a big part of my life, 100 lb. of pure love! While she's good about sharing popcorn and a movie, wading the creek and impromptu trips, But "Here girl" is not meaningful conversation. She's always willing to eat leftovers when I try a new recipe, how about you? I like to cook... just hate the cleaning up afterward (too bad she doesn't do dishes, not allowed in the kitchen).

I'm faithful, respectful and not the jealous type...feel it's a waste of both our energy and a definite killer of passion... wouldn't want to do that! I'm a generous person, I like doing for the people I care about. I'm often involved as a volunteer with non-profits (not at the moment). I believe in continual self-improvement! I have a good sense of humor. Like to laugh myself silly!

I'm willing to invest the time to create a nurturing passionate long term (lifetime) relationship with a man who's become my best friend...How About You?

Who I'm Looking For...let's see... my partner, half-side, the yang to my yin, my other half, a play mate, a work mate, a buddy, best friend, passionate lover and companion. Spiritually compatible would be nice. Honest, faithful, communicative, kind, generous, open-minded. I think we all want the same thing.
How about resolving differences in a fair way... to a resolution that will benefit both of us. Adventurous would be nice, fool-hardy would not. I'd love a man who likes building "stuff". that talent facinates me. There's something sexy about a guy who's "handy" around the house.

Hopefully all the kids are grown so we'll just get to look forward to the grand-kids. My Grandma was my favorite person and someday I hope to emulate her with grand-kids of my own. I'd like a man who has minimal interests in sports. Now stop crying...I will watch the Super bowl with you or the occasional Winston race (I do love the wrecks). I hope you like to occasionally get all dressed up and go out dancing and dining. I love to dance and don't do it nearly enough.
I want a man who knows how to be silent. Especially, silent in the woods. Sometimes the greatest communication occurs in silence. Communication being the key word. But remember, I haven't learned to read minds.

I need a man who respects women. Admiration is nice, but respect counts for more, ask Aretha. I'd like a man I can respect... guess I'm old fashioned that way. I want a man with enough courage to be honest with the hard stuff. Someone who's courageous enough to seek out his own flaws and work on them like I do mine.

The above is the ideal, but I'm realistic enough to not expect it in one person. If any resonates with you, write me. We'll see where it goes.

I’m really good at

anything to do with hand-eye coordination

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile, my hair, the way I carry myself and my creativity.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love to read. Presently reading/doing The Artists Way, and Black Elk, The Sacred Ways of a Lakota. I go thru phases of Best Sellers, Mysteries, Sci-Fi and cheap romances (it's a girl-thing). Reading is a passion, vital to my soul. Mountain Express is a local weekly I like.

Favorite things??? soft gentle kisses, thunderstorms, laughing 'til I'm silly, deep rich red, gardening, my yard, distant horizons, adventures, spotted horses, mysteries, Star Trek, and summer.

Love any kind of well prepared fresh (not processed) food. Enjoy trying new foods.

The six things I could never do without

Books, fresh air, nature, freedom, learning, fun

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What's to become of this crazy world.

On a typical Friday night I am

On a typical Friday night I'm alone and wishing we'd met already.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That my strong independent exterior hides a warm soft heart.

You should message me if

you like most (not necessarily all) of what you've read.
