I am always right, it's true, and deal with it!.

My Self-Summary

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE 'You should message me if...' SECTION BEFORE SENDING ME A MESSAGE. THAT SECTION IS THERE FOR A REASON.

Also, as stated at the top, I am already in a relationship, so 'winks' and emails expressing interest in dating will be swiftly ignored.
------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmm... Where does one normally start?

I am Greek but have been living in the UK for the last 14 years. I came here for postgraduate studies and seem to have stuck. I still love my home-town back in Greece and miss my friends from there an awful lot. I am contemplating returning at some point in the future, but for the moment, the UK is where I want to be.

I am a very straightforward person - what you see is what you get; but please don't assume that I am 'simple'. I am fairly blunt, have never been good at diplomacy and will not hide my opinions - good or bad - just to please other people.

Also, I can't say I am the most tolerant of people, especially when it comes to stupidity. I like intelligent debate and stimulating conversation, but have not got the time to overanalyse and justify everything to people who have not got the brainpower to easily understand what I am trying to say.

Have I managed to put you off already? If not, read on...

I am the most helpful person you will ever meet. I find it extremely hard to say no to anyone who needs my help even to my own detriment. For a while I was thinking that I should make a business venture out of it (something like lifestyle management or concierge services) but I suspect I'd end up bankrupt as I'd be helping people for free. I am very much a believer of doing random acts of kindness or paying it forward. Thankfully, I am not stupid, so I am able to distinguish between someone who genuinly needs help and someone who is just trying to take advantage.

What I’m doing with my life

Oh, I don't know - living it probably is the best answer to this.

I am property-developing or rather I am consulting others on how to develop property successfully. A mathematician by training, I became interested in property and how to maximise profit when selling it in my late twenties and have not looked back since. I am also contemplating setting up a business in my homeland of Greece

On the social front, my friends are very important to me and I like spending as much time as possible with them (not very easy as most of them are in a different country - and yes I do feel guilty for my carbon footprint!).

I’m really good at

My job - hopefully... Also, internet searching and helping others with whatever they need to do. Oh, and cooking. I love to cook but hate having to wash up afterwards!

The first things people usually notice about me

How am I supposed to know? They are probably too polite to say!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I read pretty much anything, from crime novels to chicklit to Harry Potter. I am not keen on science fiction though and I find most biographies extremelly boring.

Movies: Again, there are very few films I will refuse to watch. Favourites include 'The Usual Suspects','Se7en', 'American Beauty' (have you noticed the Kevin Spacey theme yet?),'The Fight Club' and 'The Untouchables'.

Music: From classical to pop to rock, I'm happy to listen to a great variety of music.

Food: I love good food. I do not eat meat but I don't find that's a problem with most cuisines. Going out for a really nice meal is probably my favourite pastime and I will spend vast amounts of money sourcing the best ingredients for a dish when I cook.

The six things I could never do without

As the question asks for 'things' I will omit my friends, the sea, and any abstract concepts from this list. So here goes:

Sunscreen - Baz Luhrman said it first. A combination of really white sensitive skin and having been brought up in a very sunny country make this my top choice.

Sunglasses - Apart from the obvious sun in the eyes issue, also practical for keeping my hair out of my face.

Handbag - All girls need something to help them cart all their junk!

The internet - Helps with both work and keeping up with friends.

Mobile phone - see above plus doubles up as a digital camera and a music player.

Food processor - invaluable when cooking.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Work. Doesn't everyone? Even when I'm supposedly relaxing I will be thinking about this house or that project...

Also, when I'll be next going back home (and by that I mean my hometown in Greece) to catch up with my friends.

On a typical Friday night I am

watching Jonathan Ross on BBC1.

On a typical Thursday night, on the other hand, I am in a local bar with a few of my friends listening to a live band.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I iron my towels (and pretty much everything else!).

You should message me if

...you have read my profile THOROUGHLY, checked my personality awards and test results and still think I will not press the 'block them' button (which used to be the 'dead to me' button - much more appropriate) on receipt of your message!

I think I should point out here YET AGAIN that I am in a relationship. (Look at the top - it says 'seeing someone'. Got it yet? Good!)

I do not wish to be contacted by: a) married or otherwise unavailable people who are looking for a bit of fun on the side, b) people who are only able to write in 'txt spk' (I am a grammar nazi, so being literate is a must. If you use 'u' intead of 'you' I use 'block and delete') and c) people who produce one cheesy chat up line after another - I call my gerbils 'cuties'...

Also, keep in mind that I change my hair colour and style more frequently than most, and thus any references to 'Barbie' or to a certain much loved dead princess are completely off the mark (seeing as I'm not even blonde at the moment), so please refrain from making them or your message will quickly end up in my bin.

Finally, remember that no response to your message is a 'NO' response. I hardly ever email people back to tell them I am not interested and I do not feel the need to justify to them why that is the case. If people cannot be bothered to read my profile, why should I be bothered to spend time to respond to them?

Yes, I know, I'm a bitch. Do you have a problem with that?
